Fart Quest: The Barf of the Bedazzler (Fart Quest, 2)

(Copy paste of my review of Book1): I was a little worried this series would be cringe-inducing, but it's actually quite clever and well-written. It has some violence towards (and from) monsters, most of which is "off screen" or put in euphemistic terms. There is some tragedy on-par with the typical Disney "dead parents" origin stories. My kids didn't take to it at first, because it didn't have pictures like Dog Man, but I tried again 6 months later (mid grade-3) and then they loved it. We got through all four books in the series and they were sad that it was over- just like a good adult fantasy series!

The graphics help break up the text and the chapters are short / good for bedtime

My boys 9 & 11 love this series. We listened to the audio book and my son had to have book.

The likable crew of Fart, Pan, and Moxie (human, elf, dwarf) set off to complete another quest for the Great and Powerful Kevin. This one involves a bedazzler--a creature whose gemstones shoot beams of power!TickTock (a phibling / froglike creature) accompanies them. New ogre friend, Bucket, is quite the artist.Part of this hilarious, fast-paced adventure takes place aboard a pirate ship where Fart and friends have to do a seemingly impossible task.LOL funny scenes and art make this book stand out as a favorite for middle-grade readers.

My son and I read these before bed. He’s 8 and Im thrilled that he enjoys a funny, beginner fantasy world that is large in laughs, and has some great social value. Im a gamer, and he is too, and having the rpg of elements is a great positive too! Great books. Very enjoyable

My 7 year old loves this series. Challenges him to read. Trying to transition him to chapter books and this is a good mix

This author is amazing. My kids want to play D&D now and I want to play with them. They also want to read. Can not wait for the next book.

I love this series of books, I recently got into playing D&D with my kids and I bought these for my young son for Christmas. I find it difficult to encourage him to read but with these books he's excited for story time every evening! The characters are funny, the bestiary pages really spark the imagination and provoke discussion, and the story makes just want to read one more chapter to see what happens next. These books have really changed my son's opinion on reading, so much that his teacher lets him read them at school instead of the school reading books.A must buy!

This is an amazing book that really captured the feeling of adventure that kids get when they're playing role playing games, then before you know it you've fallen in love with the well developed characters. Totally would recommend!

Fun read for the kids
