Interesting addition to cooking equipment.
A good non-stick coating, a comfortable weight of pan. Just cleaned with a paper towel and some hot water. I use it on a gas hob. Made several batches of ebleskiver successfully. I recommend finding an on-line video of how to make them, they do require a bit of practice , especially getting the batter to the right consistency so that you can make the spherical shape.. Delicious end product, children and adults like them. I am going to experiment with savoury versions and mini potato pancakes to see how they work.

Surprised how much we like this pan
I would never have bought this for myself. My husband bought it for me as a Christmas present after teasing he was going to buy me "a frying pan" (Going along with the gag, I bought him a cast-iron ridged griddle for steak, heh). I'm actually glad he did, even though the pan looks initially like it's a frustrating only-one-use gadget. I'm happy to say we really like using it.I made successful ebelskivers the first time using a recipe from 150 Best Ebelskiver Recipes. The second time was even better. The third time, I used a basic chocolate-batter recipe from the book and added my own fillings (sweetened mascarpone, Nutella, and brandied cherry sauce) to make "Black Forest Cake" ebelskivers, which everyone loved. I am going to try to use some leftover rice today to make either arancini or calas (recipes not in the book, but can be found online and adapted), and later on use some polenta, cheese, chilies, and leftover pork roast to concoct tamale-style ebelskivers. The pan has a non-stick coating made for sweet and starchy foods. It releases the food very easily when used with a little oil or butter as the recipes suggest, and wipes nearly clean with a piece of kitchen roll. Cleanup is a quick wipe with a slightly soapy sponge and a brief rinse once the pan has cooled. I used this pan on a gas hob and on a solid plate hob with equal success.

Worth the purchase in the end
I couldn’t make my mind up whether I should buy this or no but I am glad I did. It is quite light weight and easy to use . I used it to make the danish apple Aebleskiver and they were a great hit with the family.

The perfect pan for Aebleskivers
This pan is brilliant! It has a good weight to it and is truly non stick. My Aebleskivers turned out perfectly on the first try. I highly recommend it.

My favourite are ones with a little apple sauce put in ...
Get one of these, some wooden toothpicks or similar and off you go. Takes a while to get the knack of turning them (what the wooden toothpicks are for). Also use a recipe that uses beaten egg whites. They produce lighter more enjoyable Aebleskivers. My favourite are ones with a little apple sauce put in the middle

Use wooden utensils. Common sense says so but worth reiterating.
Never knew I needed one of these pans until my partner bought my a book of Æbelskiver recipes.

I was very sceptical as it was so light but it worked wonderfully; hence my high recommendation.
