Full Face Respirator Mask - Gas Masks with 6001CN Activated Carbon Air Filters for Painting, Dust, Chemicals

After the straps on my 3M mask broke, I thought I’d try a full face respirator so I didn’t have to wear safety goggles and to give my face more protection. At first I was skeptical considering this would be used around chlorine gas and other VOC and AG agents. When I received it, the product was well packaged and the face shield was masked so it wouldn’t get scratched. The filters housings need to be assembled and the instructions aren’t the best, but you can pretty easily figure it out. When you attach the filters to the mask, they won’t be in the position on the picture. If they were one wouldn’t be locked in place and the other shouldn’t even fit in that way. There is no left or right, so one side will go into the mask facing down and the other side facing up. Give each a quarter turn to lock in place. They will sit parallel to the ground, just like 3M masks. Some reviewers wanted them in the up position, don’t know why since it is going to obstruct your peripheral view. By the way, some reviewers mentioned black soot or dust on/in their filters, but I didn’t have that issue with mine.4 straps pull the mask tight to your face. First time I used it it took me a couple tries to get used to adjusting it and also get airtight seal. After that was easy and only took a few seconds to put on. Check if you have a tight seal by covering the filter to block off airflow. You shouldn’t be able to suck in air and you would be able to hear if air was leaking in from around your face. This brings me to another reviewer comment on glasses. You can’t wear glasses with it. Not on this one and not on any full face one I know of. There is no way to accommodate the size and variety of glasses and form a good seal. Shouldn’t have to say that in the product info like someone wrote because that’s common sense if your looking at this type of mask. Also, I would think that having a beard would also cause the mask to not seal properly.First use was around chlorine and the included filters work fine. No smell entering the mask or respiratory impact. I’ve used it several times since then without any problems. I would say that one thing that is less convenient about this mask versus my old one is the ability to put on and take off frequently since you have release and tighten all four straps each time. From an improvement perspective, the storage bag should be bigger to allow you to store the mask with the filters on. The bag can only hold the mask so you have to find a way to keep the filters with it.I’m impressed with this mask so far. We’ll have to see about longer term durability, but considering the price compared to 3M half face respirator with an equivalent filter setup, it’s a very good value. Even more so if you are getting it for a one off type of project! I have no reservations about this product now.

I love this thing and use it daily as a auto painter. Why spend 3m money when this is just as good with the sane quality.

After buying this mask, the price is reduced. It is less than 30 US dollars. It is a bit depressed! The quality of the goods is pretty good. Whether you can use it and look at it again.

Have to use some harsh chemicals and this has been really helpful with the fumes.
