dunlop gator grip picks 1.14mm 6 pack

Thought I would try these out along with my usual "go to" plec of the past twenty years, the JD Tortex 1.14mm (purple). They are slightly smaller in the hand, almost immeasurably, but you do feel it. You get slightly more attack. I never thought a plectrum could make me play quicker, but this definitely does. Whether that is down to how it feels in my hand, the slightly different size, the grip, the colour(!) or some placebo effect, I do not know, but I am definitely playing some riffs quicker. That said, I can find it "disappearing" in my hand as I loosen my wrist for rhythmic chordal stuff. It is definitely a lead guitar plectrum rather than all rounder (for me anyway) but I will be sticking with it.

Thought I'd try these as they are a good price and wiling to see how they felt. Definitely a bit easier to grip and slowly getting used to them but still favour Tortex at this time. Seem to sound a little softer on my accoustic but notice no real difference in sound noticed on electric guitar.

I love these picks - stay grippy even when they *look* shiny, I drop them far less than any other pick I've tried and I have a tendency to throw picks mid song...

Recommended online for playing octave mandola (mandolin) and they really do work a treat, especially on light guage strings. Nice feel to them.
