VO5 Give Me Texture Sea Salt Spray 200 ml

After reading this product was a must-have for people who have an effortless hair routine, I'm not super impressed. I didn't find it gave my hair much texture at all. However, I have long layers so perhaps this is better for short layers?

If you have short soft and fine hair, and want to give it some body and texture after shampooing, then this is the product to use. It is really good and does what it says. Smells good too!

Utter load of rubbish. I thought it was a water based salt spray but it turned out to be an aerosol which has a powerful jet like spray which shoots a load of chemical white crap all over your hair. My lungs are now suffering and my lovely soft washed and dried brown hair has now got white crap in it with an awful chemical smell. Do not buy this product!!

There are a couple of ways suggested on the tin to use this spray. You can spray on to towel dry hair, dry naturally and shape or you can use on dry hair. With this second method you should spray from root to tip until slightly damp. Then twist your hair into strands and rub them against each other while blow drying to give a "super sexy, beachy look." Since I don't have 3 hands I merely spray it on top of dry hair and scrunch well - this gives a textured frondy appearance. (Not sexy but I don't follow the instructions and I am in my seventies!) When I've used it for a couple of days like this it transforms my shortish layered cut into a curly style and my hair does seem as if I have been on the beach: still soft but firmly held. Shop around for a good price and try it out if you want the tousled look as the hair does not feel stiff after use. I won't be without it in future.
