It has the straight thread to fit a lamp nipple.
Searched the hardware stores for the proper nut for a large lamp nipple. They all had the correct size nut, but none had the IPS threading. This nut is perfect, standing lamp now fixed!

Great Value.
Hard to find parts. Box stores usually only have 1 pack, and are much more expensive. These are national pipe straight thread patter, thin locknuts. Work extremely well for what they are made for.
