I find it very useful and use the windows media player to listen to it. I use my Pinnacle Video software to edit it into mpeg sound. I tried recording a record, but I think it was too close as sound was distorted as I placed it on the turntable. I gather though once the battery becomes dead it means another voice recorder, but would be game to investigate inside it as a last resort. I am into editing videos so this voice recorder comes in handy for recording sound clips like wildlife, sound of cars, aeroplanes etc.

Am returning item today after trialling it at a meeting. Audio files were almost so quiet as not to have recorded at all. Turning volume to max makes no difference just the faintest background sound and hiss. Item was used on a table at a meeting for 4 people and did not even pick up normal speaking voices, only the occasional tap and sound as the on/off switch was touched. Tested again today at laptop and could not get any worthwhile playback. Have purchased a different make hoping it will be better.

I sent it back-I didn't want an ordinary usb,I wanted a discreet recording device

didn't work on my apple I am afraid. got no use out of it

Looks cheap BUT works very well so would recommend it
