Is there a list for the required hole size of each rivet nut?

The hole diameters of the installation holes size are as below: M3 (6mm), M4 (6mm), M5 (8mm), M6 (10mm), M8 (12mm), M10 (14mm), M12 (16mm), 10-24 (8mm), 1/4-20 (10mm), 5/16-18 (12mm).

I need to set 5/16 and 1/4 grade 8 nuts into 3/16 and 1/4 steel will this tool thread to that long of nuts for that depth

The maximum applicable thickness of 5/16 is 0.24inch, and the maximum applicable thickness of 1/4 is 0.2inch.

Can I use stainless steel rivet nuts

Yes, it is applicable to all metal rivet nuts.

Will these rivets work on hard plastic? What thickness of material do they work with?
