Mason's Christmas Village Plates 19.5cm (Set of 6)

I bought my first pieces of Christmas Village in the mid 1980s, when I was newly married, from a Wedgewood concession at a military base in Germany. All serving dishes, they have been treated with loving care ever since. In 2000, while living in the UK, I was able to add service for six during a seconds sale at the factory. Although my original dinner dishes are seconds, they are still nicer than what was recently delivered to my doorstep.Like the previous reviewer, Elaine, stated, the pattern on these dishes is not the same. It's much cruder, with thicker outlines and different shapes, and smaller. While I noted that they were made in China when I reviewed the listing, I failed to heed Elaine's warning. I am, therefore, now quite disappointed. If you are thinking of purchasing these, you have been warned.Because it will be too expensive to return the dishes, I'll be unhappily keeping them. I'll use the new ones for casual dining and will keep the old ones on display in my china cabinet -- and treat them with kid gloves.

I have this china which comes out every Xmas. All my china is the original from 16-18 yrs ago. The plates I got are good quality but do not match the original china,which is a great shame.
