I was concerned about opening this tin, after all the highly negative reviews concerning odour. I had no choice but to use this varnish inside. I opened all windows and shut the door in preparation. To be honest, when I opened the tin it hardly smelt at all, white spirit has a more powerful odour. I used a good quality brush and the varnish went on easily but I did not go over brush strokes. The gloss finish is great and I am very pleased. I have to wait 16 hours for it to dry, so I cannot comment on that, as yet.

It does exactly what it says on the tin

It smells vile, ive only opened the tin and put the lid back on and i cant get rid of the smell from my workshop, it might be great stuff i dont know, ive thrown it in the bin out of the way and it still smells, somebody has got to be having a laugh with this product, no sane person would site that for use indoors its vile.

Whilst it does smell terrible it does a great job. I use it to coat my drawing boards and it's perfect for that. Will buy again..

I bought this to varnish a sign I was painting that's to sit outdoors. The smell even when the package arrived was bad so I guess some must have leaked in the packet.I've had to put the sign well away from the house to dry but apparently it can be smelt three houses down the street.I don't know yet if it will do it's task of being waterproof.

Awful product. Not as described. Shows in photograph does not dry matt at all. Smell is unbelievably strong for a product thar can be used indoors and after a few days of windows and doors open it's still as strong as ever!
