5A fuses have become tricky to find in my local shops. 3A and 13A appear to be more popular. 5A fills that niche between lighting and heavy drain appliances that require a 13A fuse in the plug. Computer plugs tend to fall outside the 3A range but a 13A fuse is simply too much and more likely to cause damage to the power supply.I've taken a special course at work to identify the correct fuse value - never replace a blown fuse with a fuse of a higher rating, it should always be the same rating.And always look for the British Standard Kitemark or BS code - it's an indicator that the fuses are quality tested.Buying one fuse (or even 4 fuses in a pack) can cost between one and two pounds! So this was a far better deal and free delivery.Handy to keep in your fuse cupboard 'just in case'.

I think that having spare fuses is something we often overlook until we need them and usually by then it's too late. These are good value. Get some now before you need them.

Like a previous reviewer, I was surprised to find the fuses came in a flimsy plastic bag along with fuses of a different rating that a bought at the same time. However, it is not a serious problem, and it is good to have them in my kit in case of need.

These 5 Amp fuses arrived quickly and were well packed and undamaged a must for the home
