Thomas 776 SEK Large Capacity 4.5kg Spin Dryer [Energy Class C]

Highly recommendable spinner and it stands up well to the previous ones (German) I owned. It rids further the always existing soapy content and other particles from the fabric after washing and textiles feels much nicer on the skin. To avoid imbalance the spinner should never be loaded full to the rim, and it needs a bit of a practice how to load a spinner for a smooth spin.

I am delighted with my purchase. 100% satisfaction. Customer service excellent. ☺I wish I had bought one of these years ago. I do a lot of hand washing and after a short spin in this machine my washing is practically dry. It is very well made (in Germany). A good solid secure lid. An equally solid stainless steel drum. It requires no plumbing and is totally compact and portable so also perfect for boats, small flats etc. Water is drained via the front spout and I use a square washing bowl to collect the waste water. It has a 3 pin plug and is ready to use in the UK. It may be a bit more expensive than others on Amazon but the workmanship speaks for itself and it is guaranteed for two years. A spindryer takes a beating so it needs to be strong and reliable. It arrived quickly and was very well packed. Full instructions enclosed.

Had this several months now. Replaced an indesit that was noisy as hell. The Thomas, properly loaded and balanced, is surprisingly quiet. It will wobble and make a scraping sound if loaded too high, so be careful. It spins water out of my washing more quickly and effectively than my indesit used to. With heavy fabrics - towels and the like - they come out of my 1400 spin washing machine quite heavy with residual water. Using the Thomas 776, I've extracted a further 1 to 2 pints of water from a large wash load. With lighter fabrics, less water extracted. It means my tumble dryer is on for much less drying time. The Thomas 776 is also easy enough to move around. All in all very happy with it. I've only withheld one star, as I can't yet comment on longevity. If it proves reliable over the years, it could gain another star. For now, it's a very good 4 stars

Ordering was easy and delivery prompt. The spinner performs well and fulfills the task I wanted it for , namely removing excess water after washing prior to hanging out. Couldn’t be happier.

Great item, certainly wrings a lot of extra water from clothes, sheets, etc, after they have "already been spun" in the washing machine. Cuts down on line drying time and, in the winter, usage of tumble dryer.

This machine has been as good as the best reviews of it have said it is. A delight to use: quiet, effective and very fast at spinning water out of items, to an ironing dampness; let alone making them ready for hanging on the line.

Model No. Thomas Centri 2800 SD.We bought this spin dryer in July 2021.We only used it when the weather was wet, to spin our laundry before placing it in the tumble dryer. We have only used it about 8 or 9 times and the brake mechanism has broken. The arm that turns the appliance on and off is made of poor quality plastic and is flimsy.We looked through the booklet that came with the appliance for troubleshooting but this was not listed. We also looked for a contact number for customer/after sales service. There were details of Germany, France, Italy, Hungary, Russia: but alas nothing for the UK.We are very dissatisfied and disappointed and we recommend that you think carefully before purchasing this product.

This spin drier works ok. I use it for drying hand washing. As an experiment, I tried putting clothes in it that had spun in my 1000rpm washing machine but it didn't get any extra water out. The washing machine has a slower spin but larger drum; using centrifugal force calculations, one would have expected the spin dryer to have removed a bit more moisture.The instructions say to power it up and down via the mains switch. If I release the catch to stop it which I assume applies a brake as well as cutting power (as I could on my rusting 30 year old Creda,) there is a horrible metal on metal noise - I wonder if it has any brake pads fitted. It knocks loudly if the load is unbalanced but that is to be expected. Otherwise it is reasonably quiet and quick in operation.
