Smoke & Mirrors (Volume 3) (Michael Faudet)

One of the Best Voices in Modern Poetry
Michael Faudet is one of those poets that consistently knocks it out of the park every single time. Each collection captivates the audience with an array of topics that veer towards whimsical, er*tic and deeply personal. Smoke and Mirrors is no exception to that and solidifies his title as one of the best in the genre. Beautifully written, thought provoking and a little bit indulgent.

Just as good as his first book
Michael Faudet is back!I read his first book and loved it but I didn’t like his second book as much. This book, however, was on par with the first. I had so many favorites from this collection such as, “A Morning in Paris,” “You Lived for Books,” and “Romance.”Overall, I love his poetry. It just resonates with me.

Must have
I love him and his other half Lang Leav so I tend to always try to check their stuff out and this is my favorite by him. It is entrancing and perversely good!

Three Stars
The book came damaged ... the poems were very average...Probably his weakest work yet...

Stained Cover
Michael Faudet is an excellent author, but the copy I received had a very off white colour, almost blueish-greyish. I’m really disappointed because my copies are all stained 🥺
