Simple and effective
I needed a finger plate to cover up a little bit of damage around a shaver socket when it was removed and replaced. This seemed to fit the need.1. They are very thin plastic and delicate in the packet.2. Once fitted against a solid backing they are fine.3. They extend 14mm beyond the edge of the shaver socket/plug socket when fitted.4. They are slightly "gray" white rather than brilliant white, but matching whites is a near impossible task. They arrived quickly in a simple jiffy bag, surprisingly undamaged by Mr Postman. I would have given them 5 stars if they were more substantial, but they do the job exactly as I needed. They might be a problem if the wall or backing isn't absolutely flat as I imagine they might crack if fastened too tightly.

Nice.
13 amp wall sockets seem to have shrunk in size.Whilst replacing kitchen sockets that are set in tiles, gaps appeared. These are an excellent way to mitigate this problem and even without them I would say they would enhance the appearance of the socket against any wall coverings. Plus there is no need to disconnect the wiring ( switch off the power first). They will fit over the socket quite easily, once the screws are removed.

Flimsy
I was a little disappointed with the finger plates, they looked and were great value, but not so effective on a tiled surface. I appreciate that the plates have to be quite thin to fit between the wall and switch plate, but in my case the plates were backing on to kitchen tiles which were by design uneven. On tightening the switch plates buckled badly I just could not get them to fit flat to the tiles. Even backing off the switch plate screws didn't entirely cure the problem. So I am afraid the just did not work in this application. I am sure on a flat wall they would be OK. They were so cheap that it was well worth the purchase just to try them out.I have seen reviews that comment they are only available in white. Plastic is difficult to paint, but there are plastic primers out there that do a great job providing a paintable undercoat for adding colour. The Zinzer range of primers comes to mind. I have used these with great success. Also Halfords do a range of primers for plastic bumpers they may be a good foundation for further painting, though I have only tried them on....... plastic bumpers where they worked well.

Such a quick, easy and tidy fix for bad decorating around sockets.
It took such a long time to save up for these finger plates. I had to keep hold of every penny or pound that came my way and cut down on my electric and gas bill. However, when I finally managed to take out a bank loan to facilitate the purchase of these finger plates, I was so happy that I couldn't wait for them to arrive. Admittedly they took a while to arrive, but when they did I installed them straight away. All I had to do was remove one acre from the socket and loosen the other. After that I just sort of angled the plate to get it over the socket and then fasten the socket down. I needed these plates because I had recently updated my sockets from the old plastic style to polished chrome and the rounded corners of the new sockets left the finish looking pretty bad. These plates are a quick and easy fix and I would say that they are a must buy if you are replacing old sockets with the new style. I have a few more sockets in my house that I am going to be updating and I will definitely be taking out another loan to purchase these.

Single and double sizes don't match
A good way to add some disguise to uneven decorating finishes around plug sockets the only problem is the sizing of the single as against the double doesn't match the visible border is larger on the single than the double by at least 2 to 1 so on a socket run backing a kitchen worktop it goes large border small border large border etc a shame because for the money they are good value and not to difficult to fit a bit fiddly but no biggie pity as the overall look is spoiled by poor quality design
