Easy to learn, but still a lot of strategy
This game is ridiculously easy to learn to play which means you can start playing minutes after buying it. That being said, there's still a good bit of strategy involved for a game that is so easy to learn. The hexagonal shape adds to the strategy. The games move along quite quickly which keeps everyone involved. It's a very good party or family game. I would highly recommend this game.

Fun for the Whole Family: A Fantastic and Easy-to-Learn Game for Quality Family Time
This game is fantastic! My family and I are avid board game enthusiasts, and we make it a point to sit down together and play at least once a week. It allows us to bond as a family without being glued to electronic devices. While we have several board games, I was in search of one that was easy to learn and had straightforward instructions, not one of those games that require extensive studying before you can start playing. Luckily, this game fit the bill perfectly. The instructions are simple and straightforward: each player chooses a color and takes turns placing a piece on the game board. The objective is to finish the game with the fewest number of pieces.Pros: It is easy to use and learn, with vibrant colors and durable pieces. The game is enjoyable and can typically be completed within a maximum of 30 minutes. Depending on the number of players (between 2 to 4 players), there are variations available to make the game slightly more challenging.Cons: After a while, my son didn't find it as exciting, possibly because it can become a bit repetitive as you become familiar with the pieces.Despite this minor drawback, the game has provided us with countless hours of fun and quality family time. Its simplicity and durability make it an excellent addition to our game collection.

Super fun
I haven't opened it yet but I bought this game after playing it with my friends. It's super fun and it makes you think in a strategic way. You play with 4 people but could do 2 people but you would have to play two colors. The pieces are also shaped differently compared to the duo version. I like this version more because I can actually use up all the pieces. Instructions are easy to follow and easy to set up. Great for game nights

Fun game, easy to learn
I have been playing with the "regular" Blokus (the one with the square board) for years, and decided to try this variant, as it looked intriguing.2, 3, or 4 players can play simultaneously and each game lasts 20 to 40 minutes. There is basically just one rule about placing your pieces, so it takes just a few minutes to learn the game. The game is more complex than the regular version and therefore more fun, but it takes some time to become familiar with the pieces. For young kids, I would recommend the square version. What I don't like about this variant is that the starting positions are asymmetrical with 4 players. Also, it would have made a lot of sense to have up to 6 players, given that the board is an hexagon. If you are looking for a 6-player version, I recommend a game called GemBlo.

Create addition to any game night
I played the original Blokus for 10+ years before giving this version a try. Initially bought for my parents but loved it so much I picked up a copy to keep at my home too. Maybe takes a bit more thinking than the standard “square” version but has become my favorite version of the two games.

Blokus, but with Triangles
I like that it has a specific rule for 3 players so you don't have to take turns playing the 4th color. The rules are basically the same as the original with very minor differences to accommodate the shape of the pieces. It seems somewhat easier to use all of your pieces than the original, but there is a rule variation that makes it more challenging. The triangle shapes are a little disorienting. It's hard to explain, but the pieces don't fit the way your brain thinks they should...It takes some getting used to. I wouldn't play it for the first time with a person you're dating, as you may make a fool of yourself. Great gift for people who like Blokus and classic-style board games
