It will work as a gun safe. Very basic, lightweight, no padding. You have to add your own. I question the fire rating on this. Keep it well hidden.

This is a great buy. The only trouble I had was finding the right batteries for it.

I got the safe to keep my physical cash & receipts somewhere safe without others in the house meddling with them. I still live with my parents, and my mom has made a habit of "borrowing" money and never returning it, so this was perfect for me. I've had it for a little under a month and really like it so far - it's very easy to use and small enough to store somewhere out of view. I also initially ran into a few bumps but the customer service corrected things and are super friendly & diligent! That's always really reassuring to me when shopping online.The only thing I would forewarn others about is that if you are looking for a legitimate fireproof safe, you will need to take the time to save a good chunk of money. Genuine fireproof safes are THOUSANDS of dollars. Please be very careful with your irreplaceable valuable items and place them somewhere that you are 99% sure is safe from damage or loss.That said, this is a great little safe for day to day use and keeping unwanted hands off of your money, jewelry, etc. and I do recommend it for people like me just wanting to lock certain things in a space you'll remember and keep tight for the time being.4 stars for the product and the extra star for great customer service! :)

The safe is great for the price just wish the whole safe was fireproof

I love the size. I recently had items stolen. Now I’m happy with my safe! I only wish that I had purchased it sooner. Don’t wait like I did. Protect your medications, jewelry and money.

I only use the key which us wat I was looking for I haven't programmed it yet seeing as I don't understand the instructions clearly. It's very thin walls so don't know how fireproof it is overall its ok.
