Perfect for keeping the down spouts free from debris
I spent an afternoon cleaning out downspouts and underground drains. They were clogged from years of deferred maintenance. I added these to avoid any issues in the future. Lots of work on tall ladders but they’re well worth it. Easy to trim and install as they’re made from tin or aluminum.

Works okay for the most part but still gets clogged with leaves from time to time

Simple and basic
Been installed for year now. Holds up well. Keeps big debris out. Have to be careful if using a blower, not to dislodge screen.

They will not break like the plastic ones!
You can conform these to square gutter openings pretty easily - that's what I was worried about before buying. Don't get tricked into buying square plastic ones because you think they will fit better. After a year or two of freezing and/or sunlight they crack apart.
