Worth the money
I'm a pipefitter you doing outside work it's hard to see my laser sometimes and having this in my bag of tools it's a game saver. It has a strong magnet making it easy to use

Strong magnets, long retractable line and a sturdy plumb bob. It works like it should although I don’t use it that often it comes in handy when I do need to rely on it

The automatic string doesn't work
I was excited to get this and use it to help manage position of several ceiling fixtures to points on the floor. Things started out well with the push in pin anchoring the device well but as I deployed the string I ran into a problem. First the string stuck and would not move in or out. After pulling and pushing before damaging it I decided to do a quickly look at the instructions and see what I might be missing regarding deploying or retracting the string and there was nothing provided. No instructions other than how to push the pin into the wall and these are barely understandable.There are two what looks like settings with screw adjustments on the device that I then tried to see what they do, one started to wind up the string but then quickly stuck and wouldn't move more.Could get a great item but has definite product quality issues and no understandable instructions.
