They provide a cushion between the wheels and the road. Essential.

Not the lightest or slickest of tires for road racing, but they fitted my wheels nicely. Have a nice oval profile run very evenly. I'm using on my "winter"/ commuter bike and give a comfy ride in 28c profile. I was running more racey higher spec Schwallbe tyres but the ride felt just fine with these. In online tests they have more rolling resistance than many so its is speed at all costs then you need to go more upmarket. But for the price I paid for these for the commuter, all weather biking they are a good choice.

One of the tyres seems deformed, have seated this on rim 3 times and with two inner tubes. the tyre is not straight and runs un smoothly, bumping / vibrating as defect part of tyre contacts road.I contacted seller who asked for a photo and they have a policy of only replacing on return of item, they suggested the tyre may not be seated properly - Im certain its the tyre - see above, they need to tyre back first before they will replace, as I have no tyre as a spare it leaves me unable to use the bike as this would take sometime.I'm going to buy better quality form another provider and return these - maybe you get what you pay for??

I bought 28mm tyres because the road surface is so bad near my workplace that I had 3 flats in as many weeks due to the huge pot holes and faults in the tarmac. If anyone has cycled on Alfreton Road in Derby they'll know exactly what I mean, I'm sure there's similar places everywhere.25mm tyres changed to 28mm made a noticeable difference over the crap road surface and no flats yet so I'm really pleased.2 tyres and tubes for £21, I was really pleased
