I am enjoying using these coasters for Zentangles, The surface handles the ink well and is a dream to shade on with a soft pencil. Next I am going to try some different markers. They may be too absorbent for watercolor but that is not what I bought them for . Lovely for use in the classroom. They are not bright white which I was not looking for. They are a soft linen color. Not brown. Just not bright white. I will be buying more because I am going to go some printmaking on some.

I use these for blocking my strat tremelo when I’m changing strings, perfect. I really wanted some cool looking British beer mats but these serve the purpose just as well. They are also good beer mats and wine glass covers if you’ve got flies and mosquitos around when you’re outside imbibing

I wanted absorbent coasters that could just be disposed of after use. These work perfectly and they don't stick to the bottom of the glass when its lifted up. When using them for guests, I dispose of them. For just the two of us, I reuse them a few times. I threw away all our fancy coasters that just collected water.

Thought I’d try these for zentangling; however, I find them not smooth enough and absorbing too much ink, and slight bleeding of lines. This would work for kids or practice zentangling, but they aren’t good enough for fine lines and detail work and finished projects in my opinion. The box is nice and after using these as disposable coasters, the box will be good storage for my genuine Zentangle branded tiles.

I purchased these to use with my Zentangle Art and found that they are too porous and the ink bleeds if you don't draw very fast. As I go slowly and carefully, the ink would bleed. I am sure they would work just fine as a coaster or with pencil but not for ink art.

This is my second purchase using these as artboards for hand drawn "zen" inspired art tangles and "doodles". Great alternative compared to other tiles, especially for "practice" if you are new to the genre. However, these work perfectly well as finished pieces…I've had success with using these media: Pigma permanent ink, Prismacolor and/or Polychromos colored pencils and watercolors…I highly recommend that you try them!

Used these for my crafts as a little extra item for my cups. Works lovely for Cricut Infusable Ink!They are like beer mats so I know they wont last long if they get wet, but that is fine for what I needed them for.
