The Cat Who Sniffed Glue (Cat Who... Book 8)

Different and Rushed
This book was less about the actions and hints of KoKo and Yum Yum than normal. It was written more like a detective novel. Also, the ending, while imaginative and brilliant, was rushed. If this has been the first of the stories I’ve read, I might have read another because of the drama/mystery, but not because of the “Cat Who” element.

Wonderful eighth book in The Cat Who Series
One of my favorite books in The Cat Who Series. This book is about a double murder that ends up being a murder/identity theft that leads to one of the family's parents committing suicide. It's a wonderful book full of twists and intrigue with fascinating details about the people in Qwilleran's world

Eighth Book
Over the years, I've read the books in this series several times (with the exception of the last book in the series - which I highly recommend skipping). I just recently started rereading the series again, and discovered I had misplaced this particular book. So instead of turning my house inside and out trying to find it (if Koko was here I bet he could locate it), I instead purchased the Kindle edition to read. I really wish I had the money to update all the books in this set to Kindle editions. To tell a bit about the book (assuming that you've read the previous books in the series), this book chronicles the time when the mansion is being rebuilt into a theater. Jim and the cats are still living in the old carriage house. The new newspaper is issuing it's first edition, and gets it's name. Some people are murdered and the police are pretty sure they know who did it. But Koko knows better. Not the best book in the series, but not the worst either (did I mention not to read the last book in the series). To me, these books are the literarily equivalent of a "Murder She Wrote" episode. Personally, with the number of people that tend to get murdered in the vicinity of Jim and his psychic cat - I would be scared for my life to live anywhere near him. But the stories are entertaining and the characters are usually interesting. I would recommend reading the books in order.

Adorable Book Series
I am making my way through Lilian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who" Series and this was a wonderful addition to my collection. The book is in excellent shape and arrived on time. The stories are who-done-its and the main character, James Qwilleran, and his two Siamese cats help solve crimes. Highly recommend! :)

Good story except for characters dying
I liked how the mystery got solved, but I hated the fact that a whole family of characters got killed. And how come the cats get such strange habits?

Book no 8 of 'The Cat Who series each book as good
Lilian Jackson Brian wrote in a really touching, funny way about the cats capers...The cats capers are well developed, along with the personality of 'the Man' as he is called at Time's. The plot was not easily realised throughout the story and I personally like the challenge of working it out before its reviled. I have to admits, 'I think I am hooked on these little books' and this story didn't disappoint! I read them on my Kindles. It's a book that is a page turner, especially towards the end. I also really enjoyed the build up through out the book. These books are so good to use.... to switch we off from life; Relaxing while escaping for yourself if only for a while.

Love the whole series for the picture of small town America and for the good fun. No gore, no bad language, good characters, good mystery. Love it.
