Village At Home Barley Twist Floor Lamp, Antique Brass, 150 x 46 cm

I purchased this as a present for my daughter and her husband and they are delighted with it. I understand it went together very easily, and having seen it now, I must say it looks a quality product.It was delivered to my house, and I was impressed how well it had been packed - the shade was well protected and arrived in perfect condition.If you are looking for a simple but classy standard lamp for you lounge or study then I highly recommend it.

It's been used nearly every day since arriving at Xmas last. Just right proportions for a 'smaller' room like what you might have in a modest sized home. And it goes well with its partner table lamp. The shade is just the right light shade of warm Beige to cast a light warm touch of light and it proportionally matches the 'standard' size wise. And yes you can put mains low energy lamps/ LEDs in here (BC fitting came with ours)Well made, base heavy enough to prevent most 'tip-overs' so long as you haven't put it in the 'kids 'flight path'.

Bought two of these four our garden room. Good solid construction, only took a couple of minutes to put together. Had a very minor issue with the fit of the lamp holder on one, which was very quickly/easily resolved.They look really good and I feel are good value for money.

We assembled this as per instructions, and it looked like the leaning tower of Pisa.Start again and the result is not much different. Fiddled down at the base and got it almost vertical. It appears that the thread on the base are not exactly in line.

The metal work on this item was very attractive but the bulb holder is poor quality plastic and falls off the top of the stand with the weight of the shade exposing all the live electrical wires - very dangerous. I may have been unlucky and had a faulty item but a definite design flaw

Good looking lamp

Okay, but the base is too flimsy. Although weighted for stability, the main disc of the base is not strong enough to withstand even slight pressure. The result was that the pole on mine stood at an angle instead of vertically. At least I was able to remedy this (but for how long?) by putting one foot on the base and exerting pressure on the pole so that it became vertical.

I love this floor lamp, it looks so classy, it's very well made and easy to put together, it really makes a finishing touch to my living room, would love the table lamp to go with it, but Amazon dont do it in the brass with cream lamp shade
