Fantastic Shoe! Throw back to shoes I loved 10 years ago

Shoes arrived quickly and in good condition. A few raw edges on the leather, but you'd have to be holding them in your hands to see it. Lines were clean, no goop or gunk around the seams. They look fantastic! Went with the red, white and black colorway, and they're pleasantly retro and clean. Caught a lot of folks checking them out in the hallways at work. I like that attention and impact for the price (I paid slightly less than $40.00 before tax). That said, the price is evident in the soles. You can flex them concave with your hands very easily. I don't think this will be a long-lasting shoe once the rubber on the sole degrades but for a once-in-a-while style choice they'll be OK. Hopefully I'm wrong. I would add an insole, but... as others have said -- EXTREMELY tight fit in the toe-box. I feel it on the knuckle of my right foot's big toe, and i even ordered a size up from my normal (14, from 13); my normal size would assuredly have been sent back. It's tightest at the point right where the lacing starts, where the leather from the toebox meets the tongue and laces. The shoe narrows significantly right here and it pinches my feet when I first put them on, although it does admittedly relax over the course of the day. That, or my foot is slowly crushing... Whether or not this is going to truly relax over time, I do not know. There's a lot of leather and stitching at that junction so hopefully the leather flexes before the stitching does, without looking beat-up or ratty. 3 stars, mostly for the looks and the price. May go up or down depending on longevity.
