Anyone know the scoville of this? It feels way hotter than habanero Tobasco, and that’s over 8,000

As the oil is from Chaozhou (Chiu Chow) in China I'm assuming that the chillies used in the recipe are Bird's Eye Chillies. These range between 100 - 225 SHU, whereas Habanero Chillies range between 300 - 400 SHU. Chiu Chow recipes tend to use a mix of fresh and dried chillies - and dried chillies tend to be slightly hotter. This oil is excellent and I have to agree it does warrant the 5 chilli symbols on the label.
