Simple to use, does exactly what you would expect
It is a bit of a novelty but it works excellently and is simple to use. You peel a hard-boiled egg while still warm and put it in the Cuber. Screw the top in place and it forms the egg into a cube - let it cool, eg a few minutes in a refrigerator, and it comes out as a cube.Instructions are on the outside of the box. The bottom of the shaping compartment is removable so this makes the Cuber very straightforward to rinse/wash. The bottom panel also allows you to push the cubed egg out of the compartment..Unlike many kitchen gadgets it is simple to use, and simple to clean.Whether you want square hard-boiled eggs to better suit your sandwiches, or to amuse your kids - this product does the job.

Great unusual gift.
I like buying unusual gifts for christmas and when I found this I had to get it for my mum. She didn't even know what it was straight away when she read the box and only found out after reading more about it. She gave it a try on christmas day and everyone was ecited to see how it would turn out.We followed the instructions and It worked perfectly, a nice little square egg! (Squegg)You do have wait for the egg to cool so for my picky stepdad it wouldn't be no good as he doesnt like cold egg. Just something to keep in mind that probably won't affect many people. The square eggs will look great sliced in a salad or sandwich for parties or foamily lunches where you might want to make a nice table spread :)

Bought for a giggle at having square eggs - it works!
It makes me chuckle every time I use it AND does what it says easily and well.A bonus (apart from square slices for sandwiches) is that it also does a good job of chopping an egg easily once square, by cutting through with an egg slicer two ways.It gets 5 stars from me for performance. If two or more eggs at a time is usual for you then, due to chilling time for each egg, more than one cuber is desirable, which at £5.11 each makes them rather costly. Hence sadly only 4 stars overall.Maybe they should be sold as pairs (e.g. Buy one, 2nd 1/2 price) which makes more sense to me having used the cuber for a while - just my view of course.

Top notch
You can have soooooo much fun telling people that there is a new breed of chicken that lays cubic eggs for better storage, then showing them square boiled eggs!

Marvellous, simply marvellous.
This is the best, and probably the only, solution to that old round-egg conundrum. You know, eggs. They are round. They roll over sometimes, unless they are fried. Poached eggs don't roll either, but that's beside the point. Boiled eggs - hard-boiled eggs - go into this thing and come out in BLOOMING CUBES!Why not get one of these, cube some eggs, and pretend that you've got a flock of dysfunctional chickens? Tell your dotty Aunt Nellie that they are square eggs laid by square chickens? Tell your children that they are egg-flavoured boiled sweets? I dunno, there must be some use . . .Thousands of years of civilization and we have finally invented this. We've come of age as a species. THANK YOU, EDDINGTON'S EGG CUBER!
