Does the job...
...but get ready for a mess! That's charcoal powder. I guess I gave it four stars because it has a bit of graininess to it. Need to rub it in well and get ready for extra bits that fall away.

Not sealed properly
Jar was not closed properly. There was powder all inside the envelope. The lid was not secured when shipped.

Excellent product
Love this stuff! I added a bit of water to a small pile of it and painted it onto the paper for the textured background. Once dry I used black and white charcoal pencils and white chalk for this figure study.

Gigantic supply!
Some comment have mentioned this as being a lifetime supply. That is no exaggeration the jar probably holds a cup and a half to two cups! Wowzer!
