PME RND043 Anodised Aluminium Round Cake Pan 4 x 3-Inch Deep Silver

Well, I have 6 of these. Baked 6 really, really, rich Christmas cakes (they take 6 - 7 hours). They were easy to line, cooked evenly, perfectly - not too brown on the top & MORE IMPORTANTLY - COOKED EVENLY RIGHT TO THE BOTTOM! The cooked cakes "slid out". They are also really easy to clean, warm water & a wipe! I am soo pleased I will be replacing all my tins with these. Great to have the size etched on the bottom of the tin. Don't lok anywhere else. These ARE the tins to get.

Easy to use. I greased the tin and lined the base with parchment paper. I also used a metal flower nail to direct heat into the centre.For the first time I used a PME baking belt (ASIN B01EFLWBL0) as this is my first 3 inch deep cake 'sandwich'-style tin.Baked 50 minutes at 160 degrees but preheated to 180 degrees. (50 minutes was a lucky educated guess based on doing bundts.)On my first use the cake came out well. I like that the tin has no seams, no nooks or crannies for batter to get caught in. I also like the straight sides. No probs as regards the quality of the sponge when torte-ing (halving it horizontally to make a layer cake).I suspect the tin would dent very easily if bashed or dropped onto a hard surface. Great tin but DON'T PUT IT IN THE DISHWASHER like I did... I made the mistake of not checking if it was dishwasher compatible, like an absolute fool (this pandemic has killed some brain cells but I won't go into that)... aaand the pans are absolutely ruined. But I'll probably still use them. Maybe. Just hand wash them for the love of God and you'll be fine. The cake turned out great at least!!

I bought this to make a cake for sons wedding but it looked huge when i saw it in real life so I sent it back and bought the 10" one. Had to pay for returns which was a wee bit diappointing, and why I gave 4 stars,. Although it wasn't a faulty product, it was because I was buying online and wasn't able to see the item in real life that I bought the wrong size. I bought the 10" one from the same seller and gave it 5 stars as it was perfect.

The size I received was not the size advertised- was a little smaller. Also I only lined the bottom when using it and there was some cake stuck to the size which was insanely hard to clean off, harder than my other cake pans.

I ruined my set I bought 2 of them , excellent cakes the rise was great on them it's TRUE lighter tins make better cakes What I didn't look at was cleaning instructions...Which was wash by hand. I put them in dishwasher, whoops ruined went black and couldn't use them again so money down the drain.... I would not buy them again because of the washing by hand. Too much bother

Love these tins, so much so I ended up buying various sizes. Bake better than the darker non-stick tins. Handy having size printed on bottom.
