I use one for a sugar-cinnamon-nutmeg mixture, and one for a sea salt and dried herbs mixture that I make. The holes in the shaker side are big enough for a coarse salt or sugar. The other side is big enough for a measuring spoon up to teaspoon size.They're not airtight, so depending on the humidity, may not be suitable for contents that would absorb moisture or dry out. If you want to use at the table for grated cheese, you will probably need to transfer it to an airtight container for storage.The jars are good quality glass, the lids not quite as well made and don't fit as tightly as I would like, but a handy set to have. The 6-oz size is bigger than the typical "spice jar" size, holds plenty of the kinds of seasoning mixtures or topping sugars that you may reach for frequently. For the price, a good item.

Spice jars are perfect size. Easy to hold. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was simply packaging.The jars were not individually wrapped so they were smacking against each other in the sealed bag. Luckily, no broken glass. Otherwise, happy with my purchase.

These shakers are a good size easy to clean and easy to use. The only negative thing is the holes are a little bigger than expected and I bought them to use as salt & pepper shakers, they dispense a lot of seasoning when turned upside down. They are great though. Perfect for other spices.

I bought these to use as salt and pepper shakers. There is a side for a measuring spoon that is great. The shaker side is a little too big to use for salt and peppering food once in your plate. I will definitely use them for cooking.

Holds a decent volume while remaining easy to handle and the large holes are perfect for having near the stove for when cooking a whole pot or pan of food. Wouldn’t use these on the table for seasoning a plate while you eat but I wanted them for cooking and they’re perfect.

Got these just for salt and pepper. Very easy to clean and fill. 2 sizes of dispensing holes makes for easy measuring.

We got these as we like to use different kinds of salts and so forth. They work as intended, but... It would be nicer if you knew which side you were opening before you did. One side has the small holes and the other the larger opening. Even the small holes are a bit large at times depending on the salt, they will dump a lot out if you are not careful.

I like the size of the container. They are easy to hold. The shaker holes are a bit large but the pourable side is good.
