As a waitress, I was looking for something reliable. This is a very good tool. I replaced my old plastic one which was slowing me down at work. This made opening bottles enjoyable my favorite part of the service. I do think it gets a bit loose with use, but that's after many uses and by that time it doesn't matter because you've made the most of it. I recommend and would buy again, only when the first one has fallen apart.

Really lovely corkscrew with good action. Excellent quality and workmanship. My wife dislikes these types of corkscrews but even she found this one easy to use. Highly recommended.

I use this for work as a bartender and waiter so despite not owning it for long it has been used extensively and has been really fit for purpose. The blade has remained sharp and makes short work of the foil on wine bottles and the double hinge makes pulling corks really easy even when you're met with a resistant one.The handle has a great feel, smooth without being slippery and the weight of the product makes me confident that it will last some time with heavy use and some moderate abuse.The spiral itself is quite long which is great as it leaves you room to leave a few turns at the top my only criticism is that the spiral is also quite wide which has occasionally led me to rip the sides of the corks.Overall though this is a great purchase for the price especially for moderate to heavy bar tending work and waiting on.

Bought for someone else. Construction wasn't stiff enough, handle wobbles side to side instead of forming a solid T shape when screwing in. Lever doesn't grip the bottle well enough, sadly resulted in two broken corks out of two tries. Returning it. Had much better luck with the H&S UK model which unfortunately I couldn't find on this occasion.

I finally found a corkscrew I can live with. I had one not unlike this one for years but unfortunately "lost" it at a house party. This one works just as well if not better than the original. I have been through 4 others but not of them removed a cork without some form of effort. This one simply works without drama. If there was a complaint it would be that the foil blade could be sharper but It's adequate for the job. Nice build quality and feels good in the hand. Excellent.

I bought this because of all the reviews but as a waiter, I am not convinced. 1) The screw could be sharper, making it easier to introduce into the cork 2) it is very stiff 3) the screw is too thick, so everytime you come across a very dry cork it forces it to split.

Sturdy product and probably well designed but impossible to use. No instructions on or with product (ref. only to web site) and quality control non-existent. Why ? Because the device was so stiff it can't be opened without breaking finger nails so it must be returned. Disappointing.

Over the years I have used many corkscrews. They all required varying degrees of effort, from a fight with a cork to a broken cork and lots of expletives.This corkscrew is so easy and almost effortless to use. Best ever!
