This guy has been going strong without any issues and has been reliable and easy to use. Usually with appliances I need to look at a user manual 10 or 12 times to remember how to set something but not in this case. It's intuitive and easy to set up, and it's a perfect size that it can sit just about anywhere and not take up too much room. I recommend it definitely.

I love that I was able to set up exact times, and exact amounts of food for my cats. I was free feeding them, but they were just eating too much. This also has a battery slot where you can place it for transport and not lose all your settings and you can also record a message in your voice that will play each time their scheduled food hits. My cats have the timings down to a science, they even sometimes sit near it before it's about to go off, almost like they can tell time! Ha!

I have purchased it back in April 2024, and today I threw it away. Although it's an amazing product, there's a small issue that comes really only in certain conditions. I live in Houston, and we are quite "tropical" here, which where the issue with roaches comes in. My mechanism started working constantly, and I needed to plug it off. My assumption was that the issue was related to the sensor. I disassembled the machine, and found out that behind the main "clock" panel there's quite a lot of space, where inside of it was a lot of roaches and their poo. I would still recommend the product, since it's quite reliable. However, if your area has a lot of issue with roaches, and you live in an older house without a regular pest maintenance - check the insides of the mechanism and under the bowl attachment regularly since it has little gaps where those little nasty guys like to hide. But besides this - great product for the price, worked well for 1.5 years.

My previous review is below [Updated review] 3/22/24 I previously stated that the battery compartment was faulty. That is the furthest thing from the truth. The reason I said it was because I didn't know that after changing the settings or whatever you're doing on the screen it goes into a "locked mode" to prevent your pooch 🐶 from pressing the buttons (Genius!) so I wasn't aware of it so when I was pressing all the buttons except the correct one to take it out of that mode. I thought it wasn't responding because the batteries kept getting disconnected due to it being faulty. I should've figured it was fine when I discovered in the morning that food had dispensed that it was a me issue and not the dispenser. I really do highly recommend this dispenser it's great as long as you use the safety strap to keep the top closed. TL;DR Great product with many dispensing times highly recommended. When you're done adjusting the settings the screen will lock and you'll need to press the top left button to adjust the settings again. Lastly it is wise to utilize the safety strap that comes with it. [Previous review] I'll start with the positives of this product. It does hold a lot of food! I don't have to constantly refill the food as fast as I do with my other automatic feeder. Setting up the time and feeding schedule is easy (as long as you read the instructions first) there is a lot of feeding time slots. They have them labeled as Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's even brunch options in between them and a 5th and 6th meal too. Unfortunately there is a big negative when it comes to the product. The battery compartment doesn't hold the batteries in well. Whenever I put the batteries in and my dog moves it a little too much (not knocking it over or anything) when she eats from it or sniffs around it too hard the batteries seem to pop out and it loses power (obviously) so if I'm not constantly checking on it to ensure that the batteries didn't pop out again she won't get fed. I've had to do the process of turning the whole feeder upside down, undoing the battery compartment, fixing the batteries, closing the compartment, and then resetting the current time at least 6 times and I've only used it for only 4 days. It's quite irritating. I did use the power cord for the first day (before I could buy the required 4AA batteries) and my puppy chew it right up. I was devastated but it was my fault because I should've known to have the batteries before using the product. The product could be really great if it wasn't for this battery issue. I am going to try and macgyver it and see if I can figure out a solution, if not I will unfortunately be returning it because it would be useless to me. (I will come back with an update)

Gave me peace of mind. I set this up with my home video positioned so that I could verify my cat was well fed when I couldn't get home on time.

I love this feeder! I’ve been using it for over a year now and it’s still going strong. It has SEVERELY cut back the amount my cats throw up, they love to gorge themselves then let it all come up an hour later when I’ve already left for work- then go hungry all day until I return for wet food and kibble in the evenings. This allows both of them to eat small meals throughout the day-nothing but hairballs in my house now! The only things I wish I could change is how heavy it is because one of my cats is really good at moving it in an attempt to knock it over (occasionally successful) the safety strap isn’t all that helpful, as the lid can cave in. It’s not a big deal in my house but if you’ve got a cat that might REALLY want that food, you’ll have to cat proof it some more for sure

I have two of these- one is about two years old, the other almost a year. Today I realized that the motor on the older one was dying and as a result my cat was getting fed very little (like 5 kibbles per serving). I’ll admit I should have been paying better attention but it was distressing to wonder how long my cat had been underfed. I enjoyed these for the time that they worked; they're reliable as long as they have power. Until they're not. I’ll be replacing both of them because I just can’t trust it. So if you’re buying one, keep in mind it has a limited life and you have to pay attention or else your cat will go hungry.
