It is so easy to find stations
Not only is it easy to find stations but it is pulling some I couldn’t get with other radios. Digital radios drive me crazy because they go through every station before getting to the one I want. If there is a power outage or if I want to locate to another room, I have to reprogram. With the dial, I am there right away. I’m not an audiophile. I just want clear sound and this radio does have it. It is very lightweight which makes it “feel” cheap but on the other hand, it is quite affordable. Also, it is nice to unplug it to move somewhere else and the batteries kick in. So far, so good!

Great little radio!
This is a good radio for the price. It is very easy to use and would be good for a person who isn't tech savvy or just wants something super basic. Sometimes for the older folks there are too many damn buttons on electronics. Also the dial is SUPER EASY to read. The reception is very good. I keep mine at work and this is the first time I have been able to receive static free reception. I pretty much work in a cave so I am quite impressed by this fact. You can use batteries or just plug it in. I would buy this again and I would also purchase something like this for my parents whom are older folks.

Ready for hurricane?
It was a few days before Hurricane Dorian was scheduled to hit the NC Coast, and I remembered that we needed a portable radio. Instead of shopping, I went to Amazon and looked at their selection. This radio was perfect for our needs. We listened to the radio when the weather disconnected our satellite. We did not lose our electricity, but we are prepared for any storm in the future.

Cheaply constructed, but works great!
I bought this because it was one of the few I could find that had battery capability as well as an AC plug. The material seems pretty cheap. I don't know if it would hold up well if it were dropped on a hard floor. It is no frills, not even a brand name.I bought this for an elderly lady and I did not want a radio with tons of extras that she does not want/need (Bluetooth, etc.), which would ultimately make the radio too complicated. This radio has an on/off knob/volume control. It has an AM/FM selector button. It has a knob to change the station. It has an antenna that pulls out. As simple as a radio can get. This lady just listens to AM 720, which in my area (mountains of western NC) is a hard station to pick up. This little radio will pick the station up perfectly. She also likes that she can plug it in, or carry it around if she changes rooms.I'm not sure that it is worth the price (in other words, it probably cost $5 to make the thing); however when you start looking at what's available on the market, the price is in line with other similar radios (with the bonus of an AC plug).I have had no issues and was happy to find a radio without the bells and whistles with an AC option. Also fast delivery.

Not bad...But.
I got this to replace my old radio in my kitchen. This unit is great because my old radio used "C" batteries and this one does too. However, it lacks a tone control and sound from the radio has too much bass. It really needs a little more treble to make it sound better. Other than that, it is a good value.

Great replacement item
We replaced a very old unit we used outside on the patio with this radio. It is small, and has good sound. So easy to use and light weight.

It's taken an extreme beating!
I bought this for my mother, who enjoys listening to the radio at night and she was going through batteries like she owned stock in Duracell! This radio has both a battery option and direct plug in option. We also bought her some nice earbuds and that's where the problem began. Listening to the radio without earbuds is great and it sounds fine, though when she uses her earbuds and rolls around in bed, she pulls the radio off of the nightstand and it falls to the floor. This has probably happened ten times and the radio shows damage from the falls. However, it still works perfectly! The earbud jack even works and the radio is none the worse for the wear, which is kind of amazing. How it sill works is beyond me, so if you don't have a mother that tether balls her earbud cord around her as she sleeps, this radio is super solid! It may even be magical. It's the Brett Favre of AM/FM Radios.

Love it!
It’s not easy to find a basic radio these days, without unneeded bells and whistles. I wanted a simple radio for my garage and this fit the bill. The sound quality is fine for my purposes. I specifically wanted a large volume / on-off knob on the front, easy to grab if my hands are greasy. I live about 30 miles from the big city and reception is fine. One very nice feature is the AC cord storage compartment in the back. If used on batteries only, simply stow the cord away until needed. My new radio will spend its life on one shelf, almost never to be moved and always plugged in. The cord is plenty long (3+ feet?) but I only needed about half that. Rather than have all that extra cord hanging out, the design lets you expose only what you need and stow the rest.
