Slippy
Decent but always find pro mark a bit slippy - prefer vic firth

Nice raw feel
I've been a Vic Firth 5A player for more years than I care to remember - a couple of decades at least. Recently my band has started getting complaints / warnings from pubs and clubs that we're too loud - I tell them that acoustic drums don't have a volume knob, but they're generally unmoved. I tried 7A carbon fibre rods, but my bassist thought they were far too quiet (and they feel very 'flappy'), so thought I'd give these 7A a go. No idea if they're quieter than the 5A (no more complaints as yet) but I've got used to them very quickly, the raw finish feels good in the hand and they seem less prone to chipping on the hats than Vic Firths. I'll be using these exclusively for the foreseeable.

Brilliant
These have remained my favorite sticks that I have always used for the last two years. I use them for all genres on both my acoustic and my electric kit. For me these sticks are near-perfect; they strike the ideal balance of both weight and length. They are light enough for a soft jazz touch and sturdy enough for blast-beats and heavy hitting in metal. They've always been durable but if you're hitting hard non-stop then don't expect anything radical (who would with this size?). I've always preferred nylon tips because of their clear, cutting tone, which is what these sticks offer.
