It held the satnav very securely, is easy to fit and to relocate even into another vehicle. Easily adjusts position. Good quality, wish I had bought one years ago

Having suffered too many suction cup failures on long drives resulting in the sat nav landing in the footwell, I decided to try a dashboard top mount. I didn't want to stick anything to the dashboard and also didn't feel confident that a suction cup on top of the dashboard would be any more successful than the windscreen mount. This mount had good reviews and the price was reasonable. I have used it for 2 journeys and it has not moved at all. The top of the dashboard on the Meriva 2 is fairly flat and spacious behind the gauges and this position worked perfectly for me. May try it in front of the radio display next time. Impressed!

I love the fact that I'm asked to rate the suction power on an item that doesn't use suction!As a friction sat-nav mount this is excellent, as something that uses suction it's no good!It keeps my sat-nav in place, is easy to move when I need to change its position, adapts to the shape of the dash board. In short it's exactly what I wanted to mount my sat-nav.

Saw the reviews so decided to purchase as I do not like the windscreen suction type as they can be a long reach. This sits on any flattish surface and seems to stay put while driving because of its weight and shape. Most dashboards will accommodate as it is very flexible in its mounting positions. Does not mark the dashboard finish. Have used it a few times with no problems and so far still looking like new. Still requires hiding in the car when not in use otherwise a bit of a giveaway that you have a sat nav. I just move it to under the seat where it stays and does not roll about when not being used.

A replacement for Garmin's equivalent bean bag device which was last used two vehicles back - those since have their own in-built SatNav so the Garmin device was rarely used.It needs a fairly flat, horizontal surface to be most stable and it will not work as well on one that is heavily curved or sloping. On a perfect surface, it is very stable and a few bumps in the road should not cause much or any movement.It includes its own 'swan neck' attachment for mounting within the base and to which the Nuvi engages.At the price, it is potentially the perfect solution to avoiding the tell-tale ring marks on a windscreen when a SatNav is removed.

Rheme is a great company! My aging Garmin Nuvi 2599 had the suction ball joint break, so I needed a Rheme replacement for the back where the ball sits (it's perfect!). I was so tired of the gps suction falling off the windshield so I opted for the beanbag mount as well from the same company and I LOVE IT, I've been using it daily for several months now, including on a 5,000-mile road trip through Europe. It's so easy to pop Garmin on and take it off again every time I stop at a shop so it's safely out of sight. I have a Honda civic and it doesn't budge on the dashboard. Also easy to adjust the Garmin angle depending on sun etc and it doesn't block visibility at all, unlike the suction mount. Couldn't be happier.

Not especially happy. I’ve found the ball socket is not very secure for my Garmin GPS and that the non/slip pad grip doesn’t stop the whole thing from sliding around. I regret purchasing this.

Wish I’d have bought this sooner it’s brilliant doesn’t move one bit much better than trying to stick sat nav to the window
