don't mess around with USB sticks. Just use this.
I wasted hours of my life trying to include 30+ zwave devices only for the inclusion to fail 80% of the time and the network to be extremely weak. The suspect with the Zooz 700 Stick that had a weak connection. I was about to quit but decided to try this ethernet z-wave controller as a final hail mary. I backed up the NVM in NodeJS UI and restored it to this new controller. Everything works flawlessly, with little to no delay in zwave commands between nodes.Yes, this thing is a glorified raspberry pi with a z-wave top hat but the setup is SEAMLESS and the price is okay.

Better than older model but still not up to current standards for Linux based devices.
When you get one of these, the first thing to do is remove the SD card and clone it as a backup. Then you're safe should the device corrupt the SD card, which happened to the first one I purchased. HomeSeer does not do a good job of keeping the OS software up to date, and updating the OS can break the Z-Net interface. They do not provide the password to login to the device so some Linux sleight of hand is required if you want to login to the box with SSH. I have found that a scheduled reboot is advisable to keep the interfaces reliable, which I do via the crontab file, thus SSH is required. Otherwise, connect the Z-Net to a wifi controlled switch so HomeSeer can reset it with a power event.

Perfect Second Interface for Outbuilding
Solved my Z-Wave reliability issues in a steel shop building where I have a few switches and a door lock. My main Z-Wave interface was able to see the devices, but due to the steel construction, the Z-Wave signals were too weak to be reliable. Fortunately, I get a reliable WiFi signal in the shop, so adding this Z-NET G3 as a separate Z-Wave network to my existing Homeseer HS4Pi system including only the shop devices give them a 100% reliable signal. I easily added the new interface to my Homeseer controller. The hardest part was removing the devices from the existing Z-Wave network so I could add them to the new interface. Once I got them removed, it was really easy to include them in the new network. Then I had to fix a few events that were tied to the devices on the old interface, but that was just a few simple edits. It's working great!
