Tip MyPBX Soho IP

This is a great. very compact SIP/VOIP PBX for a small office of up to 32 users. I have worked with systems like 3CX before so I knew m way round a VOIP PBX and that made it very easy to set up and I had the first two extensions set up and ave to call each other in less than 15 minute (after changing the IP address from segment 5, which required me to temporarily change the segment on my PC's IP to 5 so I could access the PBX and change the IP to the segment the router users by default. Not difficult to but takes a few minutes. There is plenty of help on-line if needed. I couldn't get the auo-provisioning to work as this has been a discontinued product for some years and the more recent phones, like the Yealink T54W and T58A are not on the drop down lisr of phones to choose. I tried using a T46 which is similar in layout but the MAC numbe did not follow the preset first 6 figures for the MAC in the provisioning settings. I had to configute the phones manaually via the phone's web interface but there is only one screen of bespoke settings for account name. password etc. most of the other settings are just the default. Connecting it to a SIP trunk is easy if you have all the settings ready to enter. Don't expose any port to the internet before setting some sensible firewall rules in the built in firewall. You can connect analogue phone lines or ISDN, with the right additional cards bit VOIP is the wa to go and this device connects to a VOIP service straigh out of the box. It has a European plug power adapter for you will need an alternative 12v 1amp adaper for use in the UK. As I said, this is a discontinued device so you won't get any more updates or firmware but it is very cheap for what it does and if you need a reasonably well featured VOIP PBX fo your small office. this could be the one.
