Cross Stitch not Tapestry
Only issue was my own error as I hadn't read the description carefully. I searched for tapestry products and this item was on the match list. Product is in fact cross stitch not tapestry. Box contains 6 individually packed unlabelled bags of yarn that user has to match to images on box. The aida plastic grids are plain white and do not contain a printed pattern. The design is printed on the reverse of the box which requires the crafter to interpret the pattern for colour and count the required number of stitches. Perhaps this is the normal format for cross stitch? As the kit contains 6 projects I believe it would have been easier to have labelled bags containing a printed pattern in each rather than having to pass the box back and forth. As a first project for children aged 6 this was a little more challenging than expected, but great value for money.

Difficult to use
This item is fairly good value for money if the child is 8+ but even then I would imagine them needing a lot of supervision. There are no templates to use and no physical instructions, only what's on the back of the box. Disappointing as bought for my 6.5yo

Much cheaper materials than expected . But good for beginners… however I was thought different to how this wants you fo do it .. we did corner to corner but it wants you to go over the lines .. soo took a few times to get it right

Fab starter kit!
Great little kit! My two youngest (7 and 5) wanted to learn cross stitch so I bought this thinking it would be a great starting point. It was!Comes with six individually packaged kits including a plastic grid and more than enough yarn in each. The box also contains two plastic needles. Each pattern is printed on the back of the box, I cut them out and put them with the kits. The only downside, and it isn't even really a downside, a couple of the colours aren't quite what they are on the pattern guides- the kids noticed it- but it's minor, what should be black is actually brown and one of the blues is more green. Also took me a minute to figure out the pattern for the grids but that didn't take long, just that it starts on the edge of the plastic sheet, not the first square inside.Pictures are one kit and my 7 year olds first try.

Good but not great
It's a great gift for kids wanting to do cross stitch, my only real complaint is the instructions/pattern.They have the patterns printed on the back of the box, and a basic how to do the stitch, but they aren't very big. It would have been better to of had a paper inside with bigger photos of the patterns. But it comes with all the thread/yarn, which isn't very thick, so the plastic backing you stitch on will be seen, unlike what you see on the cover of the box. They have 6 bags inside the box, each bag has the yarn/thread and one plastic grid inside it. One of them had the plastic needle in it as well.
