If your child loves the Story Orchestra books then this is definitely a must have! We have the book collection so when I learnt about the puzzles - and given The Nutcracker is my daughter’s favourite musical - I knew I needed this one!This is a 48-piece puzzle, perfect for children aged 5+, but my daughter who’s 3 also loves playing with these and trying to complete it with her older brother’s help. It features 4 irregular-shaped puzzle pieces that represent important characters in the musical, and which add a little extra motivation (as children are not used to puzzles like this one) to complete it.Each of these characters represent a different moment in the musical, so the story of the musical is actually told in four moments. These characters also include a button. When pressed it will bring this ballet to life, by playing one (of 4) musical excerpts from Tchaikovsky’s original play. This puzzle comes with an informative poster about this musical and with specific information about it, the story and the four musical excerpts. This is particularly useful for children who show an interest in ballet or simply to make the story told in the puzzle clearer.We have this one for our kids, but will be buying more to offer to some of our friends’ children this Christmas! The Nutcracker is absolutely perfect to help spread the Christmas spirit! :)

We absolutely love The Story Orchestra books, and these new puzzles make a brilliant addition to the series. The 48 puzzle pieces fit snuggly into the base board and once complete children can press on the four musical notes to hear high-quality musical excerpts from Tchaikovsky's ballet. We love the inclusion of a small poster showing the scene to reconstruct as well as descriptions of the music on the reverse. This Nutcracker puzzle would also make a perfect Christmas gift!

We have nearly all the story orchestra books and my son loves them! I was very intrigued about the puzzle version and how it would work, but it’s beautiful and makes an amazing addition to the series.I’m adding it to our Christmas Eve box so we can carry on enjoying it as a family. It would also make a lovely decoration on a shelf as the illustrations are so stunning.

I love the books from the story orchestra & the puzzles are every bit as engaging and fun. The pieces are easy to fit together and I like that there’s a board to put it on and keep it safe. The musical element is fun and amazing defo recommended this for a Christmas present

This is a fantastic puzzle with beautiful music to go with it! Our 5-year old daughter loves puzzles and this is a perfect gift for her for Christmas!

It’s a gorgeous puzzle and I’m thinking we’ll start a tradition to make it together every Christmas Eve.Love the music and my kids do too.

I sent the musical Nutcracker puzzle to my 6 year old granddaughter thinking it would provide a fun dristraction for her prior to Christmas. It was a disaster because the puzzle comes with a frame the pieces fit in but the frame was not cut properly so the pieces didn't fit. My granddaughter ended up in tears out of frustration. My son in law had to trim two inside edges with an exacto knife so the pieces would fit but it was too late to set things right with her and she went to bed in tears.

This puzzle is awful. As many other reviewers have stated the pieces do not fit into the frame. Additionally the box itself is terrible and flimsy and will not fit back together to hold the pieces when the puzzle is not in use. It’s a cheap piece of junk and we will be returning it.

The pieces when put together the don’t match the border and then cover the music buttons that make it more then a puzzle. Thought it was a one off but ordered replacement and was the same, poor craftsmanship/attention to detail.

Beautiful puzzle and nice idea with the Nutcracker songs; however, the puzzle pieces where too big to fit inside the puzzle frame.
