Excellent stuff but watch shelf life
This stuff is the best you can get for stick wood together. Its filling properties make it ideal and it sets as hard as a rock.I've just purchased my second batch of this as my first packet had gone off. I word of advice. Although this does not really have a shelf life and I would agree with that, if you don't store itcorrectly and seal the lid correctly then it will lose its properties and you can only tell once you mix it.I recently tried to mix some cascamite that I had had for over two years stored in the garage. I mixed it the same as I normally do and it just went to a watery frothy thin mix. Tried a few times but I could not get it to "glue" up into a nice mixture. Bought some fresh cascamite and hey presto, mixed to the correct texture in seconds. According to the manufacturer, it can get condensation contamination and lose its properties but it does not have a shelf life as such. DO NOT store it in the garage as this is not the best place to store it.I've used it to stick window frames, door splits, window splits both inside and outside....sets like a rock. I've heard its ideal of boats. As its a single part mix, this makes it ideal as I don't like the two part mix glues very much.Contrary to what it says on the packet, I always mix it with water to powder, and judge the amount. Add the powder and keep slowly adding water, just like mixing custard powder or corn flour, until it turns into a runny glue which drips slowly off the mixing stick.

A brilliant glue
Used for many decades on furniture design projects. Mix correctly and heed manufacture date, maybe doing a test with older powder as it does deteriorate over time and there will be no problems.

A good product
This product was recommended to me. I have been very impressed with the results. It is easy to use and gives very good adhesion. I don't think it would work if there was an flex in the wood as the glue sets rigid. The only niggle is the instructions that talk about 2:1 measures or weighing the product. My mate said go fo a thick cream consistency and it worked. I mixed it up in an old yoghurt pot and when it has set after use you can just pop the waste glue out. And you know when it will have set on the wood bond.

Good Product.
Brought this product because our front door step had weathered badly and normal exterior wood filler did not last long. You can mix it by weight or volume. Mixing it by weight gives the most accurate and consistent glue mixes. Using a scrapper knife I pressed the glue mix well in to the wood cracks. When dried I sanded it down, wiped surface clean and then stained it and when dried painted it with a yacht varnish. Only time will tell how long it will last. Cascamite has been going for years and has a good reputation as a quality and durable resin wood glue. Would highly recommend product and seller.

Cascamite Powdwer Resin - a choice when quality required
Why bothering mixing your glue when so many ready to use glues are available? That all depends what you want your glue to do. If you want the joint to pass breakage test, so that when sufficient force is used it breaks on a new line, whilst the glued surfaces stay tougether, then I would recomand cascamite glue. This is a glue with tradition of use in aviation with the wood skeleton planes.Besides having to freshly mix the glue, there are some disadvantages. The powder will remain good rwasonably long time while the box is not started. Once opened, the powder will start to deteriorate absorbing minute amount of moisture. Usuability may last a few months, but deteration my set in in weeks, depending o external conditions. This property makes small pakages more economical for ocasional users. The second thing is that the freshly glued joint should remain uder pressure for at least a couple of hours. and it takes for 24 hours or so for the full strength of the junction.Go happily gluing, yours Dragutin

Still works as well as the original cascamite
I doubt the claim 'back to the cascamite you know and trust' as powder it deteriorates quicker, mixes differently, the remaining glue retains elasticity longer. I've used cascamite for 50 years. Having said this, it still bonds with the same strength and adhesion, I'll continue to purchase, best of its kind.

Glue with a little less stick!,
First used this as an apprentice about thirty years ago. This is the first time for a while since I last used it!I not sure it’s as strong as it used to be. It seems a little brittle when dry. Some of the joints came apart very easily even after it had hardened off! There was no splintering of the glued surfaces, it just broke along the glue line!
