Miles Kimball Handheld Texas Hold Em Game

I liked it - for the first 4 hours. after that, I lost interest. HOWEVER, my brother loved the one I gave him, and is using it endlessly. his daughter is also addicted to that game and loved it. and my friend (to whom I sent the third one) also likes it and finds it entertaining. That I didn't like it much or long - is a peculiarity of my mind and what entertains me, (I prefer chess) and should not detract from this product review..... those who like Texas hold-em will find it a fun device to use.have recommended it to others.

Not what I wanted. somewhat complicated.

Didn't work when I got it, thought it might be old batteries, opened it up to put new ones in, and behold, batteries were corroded to the point of exploding, old, maybe water damaged, whatever, put new batteries in, it was obviously so corroded inside, it will never work...BAD, not a good experience, now I have to send it back, get credit, or hope they won't charge me for sending it back....LOUSY CRAP...

The pocket Arcade Texas Hold'em is very light and portible. Took some practice to learn the buttons. I like to play against the computer. Only problem is when I fold I do not know what the computer had. It would be good information. I have only had thisfor 2 weeks and it will go with me on vacation next week.

4/13/15 My original review appears below, and what I said applies to several of the handheld devices on the market, but I've had to downgrade my evaluation of this one after more experience with it because I discovered that it doesn't accurately handle how betting is done in the game. On the preflop round it allows all players to check (which should only allowed for the big blind in an unraised pot) or raise (place a full bet instead of a half bet) before anyone has bet, and in later betting rounds allows players to raise before a bet has been placed (in other words, place an initial double-size bet). These flaws make the game significantly different from any version of hold'em which is actually played and not a satisfactory device for learning the game. Try the Excalibur device if you want a reasonable handheld simulation of a limit hold'em game..."The best use of this sophisticated hold'em device is not for amateurs to learn from (because the graphical interface and playing speed require prior knowledge to understand what's happening), but rather this device can be a powerful training tool for serious players preparing to play games on the net or in a casino. Locating the button player and following the calling/betting/folding action around the table is a good way to get the feel of the action at a real table, and the algo players seem to each have a hand range which, when played together, produce the feel of a real game. This particular device can play pot limit or no limit as well as limit, giving you a lot of ways to practice betting and hand choices. These handheld devices will always get bad reviews because they're inscrutable to beginners, but I can imagine that years from now aspiring poker pro's in training will pay out big bucks to get a used one in working condition..."

Just really like the Texas Hold'Em Game I take with me when we are on car trips it makes time pass faster to me.Would tell my friends to buy this game.

This game is more complicated than I expected or wanted. I love handheld games, especially card games. This one just has a lot going on and I haven't figured it all out yet.

DO NOT BUY! I ordered this & when I got it, it didn't work at all! Ordered another one thinking maybe it was a bad batch...2nd game came with batteries that were corroded & swollen!! Game still did not work! NOT HAPPY!!
