Great little welder for the house, will hold 10lb spool for flux, stick works good, first welding machine and love it

I used this welder a lot over the last weekend. Both flux cored wire and Stick. Unit worked like a champ. Never felt hot or anything that indicated I was too hard on it. Many hours burning through a two lb spool of wire and once that was consumed I burned through about 30 rods. Building a log arch for my utility trailer. My only problem was the wingnut on the pressure spring that keeps some tension for the wire spool would back off as I used the wire feed, resulting in an awful "birdsnest". This would stop the wire feed. I put a metric m8 x 1.25 nut on the shaft along with the wing nut. If I could fine a wingnut/ nylock combo, this would be easy fix. Overall, I am very happy with the welder. Now the bad part. The manual is useless. This machine has lots of hidden features that would excite any very experienced welder (which I am not). The manual tells you about some of the features but not why or when to use them. Some only appear when selecting other welding modes. Lots of options of adjustments, and after playing with these, and discovering some not mentioned, I got some really good looking welds with good penetrations. This machine seems to work great, even on the higher current settings and for hours of use. I think I got my money worth definitely

I have had this machine for a while before even opening it, I finally got around to it and the stick welder works fine but the mig and the other functions do not work at all. Contacted the company and they are no help at all since it had been a while since purchase. Customer service and standing by their product is non-existent with these people! Absolutely ridiculous waste of money! DO NOT PURCHASE!

Machine works good for steel but I tried it for aluminum and even with the other liner installed you can maybe get 1/2 inch of weld done before it stops working and wire binds up

This is the first welder I purchased. I'm overall very satisfied with the performance of the welder.I need a welder to modify/strengthen the sheet metal brake I bought from Harbor Freight. This is my first welding job with flux core. The SIMDER 250D performed satisfactorily and I'm overall very happy with the purchase.What I like1) With discount, this is a very affordable welder at this price range.2) Versatile for various levels of DIY welding jobs. It supports SIG/MIG/TIG. Flux core works great for beginners. It even claims to support aluminum for my future projects.3) 110v/220v flexible voltage. The 110v support is convenient for DIY home use. During my flux core welding, since the work piece is 3/16 in thick, I tripped my 110V/15A circuit breaker several times. It's recommended to use at least 110v/20A or 220v for big job. The welder itself has been working reliably so far.4) the overall build quality seems decent. Important parts are made from metal. I expect it to serve my occasional DIY use for a long time.My wish lists1) The display LED is quite bright and clear, but there is a plastic cover which really dims the display. I have to press it several times to see the LED display.2) The manual is too simple. Experienced user probably never need it, but beginners could use better manual with more details.

What a pile of Chinese junk, unboxed and put together. Tried to feed wire through and MIG gun trigger would not work.!! Hard to review a machine that doesn't work. Worthless, waste of time and money.

Not very good for beginner. Didn't come with chart. Takes a while to get to know. A great for welding 035 wire. Can easily weld small or big projects. Doesn't use much power. Doesn't blow breaker.
