Let me start off by stating that I’m an audiophile who knows what a good system sounds like. I have $600 bookshelf speakers in my bedroom and $3k speakers for my dedicated music system. My expectations were modest, as I was just hoping to get better sound than my tv or previous sound bar that no longer fits. After replacing my tv, my soundbar no Longer fit below. I tried various things like placing the soundbar behind the tv and that didn’t really work. I don’t have a lot of room for a full system, but I had extra WiiM amp and 10” wireless RSL Subwoofer I took from my music only setup. These are the first speakers I tried and they work really well, when complimented by a subwoofer imo. I need to do some calibration with the WiiM, but they sound way better than my tv speakers and my previous soundbar. Very low cost for boost in sound quality. Half my listening was with Bluetooth headphones, but I now foresee listening more with these speakers. For true audiophile movie buffs, you might want to do something a bit bigger with more dynamic range, but for casual watching, they are perfect for me. I installed the speakers on either side of my fireplace, using plaster anchors and the top screw hole and you can barely tell they are there. I drilled a hole through the top of my fireplace to route the wires and they just run to the side of the speakers and can’t really be seen. Because I routed the wires to the side, the speaker mounts flat to the wall, against the side of my fireplace. Bases are not easy to come off, but they do come off. Just pull with some force straight out, as per internet instructions. Aesthetically, they do blend in, but I was initially hoping to paint them the same color as my wall, but the grill is acutely cloth. I’m not sure why they are advertised as paintable because I wouldn’t. Regardless, these worked well and are very good for a modest 2.1 system. WiiM settings I like are room correction off, DAC minimum Phase Roll Off, Sub Crossover 120 hz, and whatever EQ you like. I adjusted my Sub volume locally, LFE. After adjusting my sub and WiiM setting, the sound blended much better and definitely more dynamic for a simple 2.1. I think the key is settings, a sub, and installing near ear level. I’m very pleased.

I bought this pair as satellite rear speakers for my 5.1 surrounds sound. I impressed with the sound produce as compared to other satellite speakers. On top of the sound performance, I love the wooden enclosure and the weight, which is heavier than many other satellite speakers.
