If I was to say that this book has changed my life, I would not be lying. It is such a "must read" for those who want to tread on the path of love. If you do not have any background in Sufism then it may be a bit difficult to grasp at first, however it is an amazing book. There are spiritual secrets written in this book that you will have to work hard to find anywhere else. Do not just read them, try them as well and see where it takes you!Happy travelling on the Path of Truth!

Toysun Barak's translation is wonderful. Few people realise that this Saint was hugely influential in the Asian subcontinent and many of us from the region had not heard of Ibn Arabi - who seems to have been highly influential in the West. This translation is an ingenuous weave of the author's life together with his teachings. It changed my life and other people's too. I gave to a friend as a gift and the next year he wrote to me saying this book had influenced him to go the Hajj. Hadrat Abdul Quadir Jilani (rah)is a huge presence so much so that some of his manuscripts are in the Vatican Library. His way is a journey of discovering the origins of self and this book is a good introduction into the world of this saintly sage

Got this straight away, an impulse buy as i hadnt read any of the works of hadhrat abdul qadir jilani. The translators notes are like a mini book in itself but goes to great depths to set the stage for those who are not accustomed to teachings of sufism and i suppose those who are too. If your looking to learn more about this Wali of Allah then the intro does not disappoint. The book itself transcends that foundation to another level. Beautifully written. Hooked from start to finish.

Interesting how close it comes to Christianity

Delivered on time, and since it's come I haven't been able to put it down. Subhana'Allah Shaykh Abdur Qadir Jilani was and IS the king of saints, indeed his foot is on the neck of all saints! Insha'Allah whoever comes across the knowledge this book contains and all it's secrets, may he be granted the inward and outward sunnah. May Allah swa grant us the knowledge Shaykh Jilani was granted, and Insha'Allah may we saved on Yawm-e-Akirah with the intercession of our beloved Rasul alayhisalam. Ameen.

I purchased this book on a whim, having just heard about the commemorated Abdul Qadir Jilani for many years.The writing style is beautiful, props to the translation.There's a charm to this book; something so eloquent, simplistic and pulling, which you'll surely experience and appreciate when reading through chapter to chapter.Truly the work of a Wali (Friend of God).
