Easy to put together and use. Will hopefully get the results from using everyday. One week so far and I really feel it in my glutes. I have had tight glutes for awhile and these squats are really helping to loosen the muscles.

Basics, mat dimensions are 5.7' x 2' x 1/8" (consistent with my measurements). Plain black with a grippy texture, top more textured than base but both grippy. This is interesting. I'd already been using a yoga mat to secure my machine but it was still a little slippy. Not bad at all, way less slippy than just using the DB Method on my bare flooring. I expected this mat to be just a yoga mat. It's pleasingly not. It's thinner but more dense, which allows for better floor stability and contact. It's heavier than the mat I was using, and holds fast to my laminate wood flooring. It's more of a rubber material with more texture. The picture in the listing doesn't quite convey the not-really-yoga-mattiness. Very non-slip. It does initially have a bit of a rubbery funky off-gassing, but it clears out quickly (within the first day leaving it unfurled) and it wasn't super off-putting for me. Doesn't include straps but fits well in the base of the DB method if you're not using it for other equipment storage, but also can drape nicely over the bar. I am a hot mess with my in-bedroom setup but this is a solid addition for dedication for my machine.

The ad says no pressure on my knees, but I am getting pressure on my knees.

I got this mat for stretching and other floor strengthening exercises. I have owned yoga mats before and was expecting something similar. I was a pleasantly surprised as I think I got a bit more than just a mat. First, I love that the color-just black! No crazy colors that I find distracting- just a nice neutral color that at doesn’t hurt my eyes! Thus, I can setup anywhere and even leave it out without being much of an eyesore! It also feels nice. It looked pretty thin the first time I unrolled it and I was worried about my knees smashing into the floor. It actually feels pretty good and my boney knees are not screaming out in pain! Good solid construction and definitely sticks to the floor and does not shift when I shift my weight. I also think that this will also work well as a mat for any exercise machine you might have although I have not tried it yet. I don’t think you can wrong with this mat- unless you want some crazy psychedelic color!

After spending about $300 for the DB Method I gifted my wife a long time ago, I never thought that I would end up buying her a mat too! 😀 Well, I'm so glad it was offered for review because going back in time, I remember that some of its grease stained my carpet and I had a rough time cleaning it. So now I realize the importance and functionality of this mat. Made specifically for the actual machine, and obviously the right lenght, this mat protects the floor surface and adds stability and prevents slipage to the DB Method exercise machine. Probably could have gotten any other "cheaper" mat, but might as well get the real deal!
