Amazing a must have for an puzzle lover. Awesome I love the fact that this is a working Vitascope it’s very sturdy. Great value for money highly highly recommended.

Let's start with some important thing. This is made of wood. It twists, is is felxible during assembly is is semi rigid at the end. The instructions need a bit of enginnering mindset, but I loved all the moments of assembly. Lots of smart ideas, like having all the necessary jigs also assembled from plywood. Really great idea.Some hints, so you don't go postal (and the instructions don;t say it...)1. The metals axis holding the gears can turn, if you don't apply enough pressure while putting the yellow rings in place. Those are the very imprtant parts of the assembly. The position of the yellow plastic rings and the pressure will hold the gears in the right place and won;t let the rotate separately form the axis. Don't even think about lubricating the metal parts!!!2. I recommend starting with assembling the jigs. These are parts are named like T1-1 and 2, T2-1 up to T2-8 and T3.3. At the end, be sure the escapament wheel is aligned. In my case is wasn't and the gear train stucked. After slight adjustment it worker perfectly.4. I applied some grease on the gears. Less friction, less noise. Especially those, which spin fast.5. Is something does not work, remove the pendulum. At his moment, the gear train starts to accelerate and turn fast. If this does not happen, something is misaligned. Maybe the axles got out of the holes.6. The top of the assembly with the wood rods is trash. Also, if tyou tighten too much, it will apply extra force on the gears and the gears may stop spinning. Took me a while to figure out. Look at the frame from the top and the sides, it should be parallel / perpendicular.7. Don't buy it for little kids. This is not LEGO. For me it took about 4-5 hours to assemble, but I am an engineer. For others it may took longer. If you are a pro DYI guy, you can finish it in 2-3 hours.I enjoyed this a lot, would do it again.

Love this puzzles if you follow the instructions you will have no problem. I had no problem with it. It had load spare part so Im happy with it. Infind doing these model very mediation took me 3/4 hours with interruptions but without interruption I would done in max 3 hours. If you sand every parts and wax some part and actually follow the instructions also on instructions sometime you have struggle then they have qr pic to show you how to it but I never needed them for last 2 model I have made so far.. finally I found right hobby for me do where before I use model planes and cars but I prefer this type of model than plastic models.. my views that company should keep making them and little bit bigger and model for experts cos model are bit easy for me but I enjoyed it.. if you gonna buy it my best advice to follow every instructions in book and takes time be patient.. you need lots of patience for any model...

Its amazing what can be achieved by CNC laser cutting machinery these days. I was very impressed with the accuracy of the cutting, every piece pressing out from the host ply board cleanly with minimal need for sanding off the "nibs".Following the clear instructions very carefully, it took me approximately 8 hours to assemble. Pay special attention to the positions of the plastic shaft collars as mistakes can require extensive disassembly to correct errors.After some "tuning" of gear positions and collar spacings, the clock ran well initially and freed up with time, achieving a consistent run eventually for 6 hours between winds. Although waxing the escapement several times helped it to run well, spraying the whole thing lightly with dry silicone really helped it run freely.

It was a gift for my son, he loved it, kept him occupied for a good number of hours. It does work as a clock but the spring winding mechanism does not keep it going very long, maybe only 3 to 4 hours. If your thinking of using it as a clock then don’t bothe, a good kit to put together and a nice ornamental talking point. Gave my son plenty of pleasure and satisfaction.

This was bought for Christmas for father in law who likes to do projects and jigsaw puzzles. The question regarding the ease of this was not really appropriate for this item. The whole idea of this puzzle was for the difficulty factor, so to give the right info, this puzzle is numbered on each part but that does not make it easy in any way what so ever and that was the whole point. Arrived in time undamaged and great value for money and entertainment value too. Highly recommend for those that don’t get too stressed out lol
