Incredible
If you don't like Lobdell, this reads like it was written by an almost entirely different author. I think that people who hated his past work, but are interested in Jason Todd, should give it a chance.Nothing here is silly, nothing is approached lightly. In fact, volumes 1-4 of this series are, at least to me, his writing magnum opus. It seems like he never cared about creating anything else in his life as much as during his work on Rebirth's Red Hood. He's writing from the heart and it shows in every single issue.I love these books with all my heart.

Fun anti-heroes
Another good read. Would recommend to DC fans who like a complex character and a painful back story. Fun times.

I was enamored by her spirit and courage and innocence and then her intensity the next second and with her and Roy you do really feel for them whereas with Jasons new companions it feels much harder to really connect with them and enjoy their presence as the new outlaws
This is still Red Hood, however he has indeed been written as a much softer character for some reason. There's no shocking brutality you'd expect and want from a vigilante bat-family member who embraces lethal methods and shoot first ask questions later as a mentality. The story is decent and the characters are familiar and charming enough in their own ways to keep you reading however Artemis and Bizzaro and Jason just don't have the same chemistry that Starfire, Arsenal and he did! With Starfire, I was enamored by her spirit and courage and innocence and then her intensity the next second and with her and Roy you do really feel for them whereas with Jasons new companions it feels much harder to really connect with them and enjoy their presence as the new outlaws.I would typically have gone for 3 stars but im such a HUGE Red Hood fan that im giving it 4 stars as those new to Red Hood will enjoy this and it is by no means a bad read, just not a great one either!

Definitely not a bad book but not essential reading either.
Good fun read overall but I really do miss the first outlaws team of arsenal and starfire. This feels much more like a way to introduce these characters for future use than a true team book.I did enjoy the interesting use of Jasons past but I also feel its a bit overstated and I would have preferred them to have moved on a bit by now.Definitely not a bad book but not essential reading either.
