Works well
You get what you pay for! Liquitex is a nice Gesso! I’ve used cheap brands & got terrible results! This product covers my canvases & allows my paints to last longer!Great buy & lots of product. Kind of expensive but I think it’s worth the price!

Very good.
Amazing for priming your canvas.

Dries absolutely clear and makes a good, textured ground for paint and pastels.
Amazing stuff! I didn't want a whole quart, but it was the best deal in the long run.

Would Definitely Reccomend
The Liquitex Professional Gesso Surface Prep Medium is a solid pick for artists looking to get their surfaces just right. This white gesso is great for prepping your canvas, wood, or paper, giving you a smooth, consistent base to work on. It helps your paint stick better and makes colors pop.The gesso itself is creamy and spreads easily, so you won’t have to worry about streaks or uneven spots. It dries pretty fast, too, leaving you with a flexible, non-yellowing, matte finish that's perfect for both acrylic and oil paints. Plus, the size is super handy—whether you're just starting out or need something portable. All in all, Liquitex Professional Gesso is a must-have for making sure your artwork turns out looking its best.

Works well with Paint by Numbers.
I am doing a Paint by Numbers canvas, and purchased this because when I tried to apply normal Gesso that it overwrote the numbers and lines and I could not see what was happening underneath. This Clear Gesso is high quality and works perfectly. It does not obscure the numbers or lines in any way, and I am able to do 2 coats now, which is what I want.

Great product; I use Liquitex paints and mediums always, but why only come in a simple carton? There was a big hole in the outer shell, and it took a few days to be shipped to Asia, where I live; while being transported, more than half of the gesso had been poured out, so much wasted,

Works really well
I recently started doing paint by numbers. Most of the canvases are of course not of a professional quality. The paint doesn’t adhere evenly. This product is a game changer. It’s easy to apply a thin coat which when dry makes paint go on smoothly and easily. It makes it so much easier and more enjoyable to paint. I’m not very experienced, but the finished product looks great. I won’t paint without it.

I’ll Never Do Another Paint-by-Number Without This
The media could not be loaded. Clear gesso is now a non-negotiable part of my paint-by-number process. I use a big, fat acrylic brush to apply it, a cheap one, since this stuff goes on with a glue-like texture that absolutely will not play nice with anything you care about. Once dry, the surface develops what artists politely call “tooth,” which in this case feels like rubbing your hand across a chalkboard while someone whispers unsettling facts about sand.Is it texturally cursed? Slightly. Does it completely transform how well paint grips the canvas? Absolutely. With one coat, my paints stay where I put them, the lines don’t bleed, and I use far fewer layers to get solid, even coverage. That includes covering the printed outlines and numbers that span the entire canvas. It does slightly mute the background color, which gave me a moment of pause the first time I used it. But the lines and numbers stayed sharp, and since the entire surface gets painted over, it turned out to be a complete non-issue.This won’t make you a better painter, but it will make the whole experience feel less like a struggle and more like something you might voluntarily do again._______The attached photo obviously isn’t of the product itself. It’s clear. What would that even look like? But it does show the results. I’m also including a video so you can see how well it works in action.
