KitchenArt Measuring Spoon - Adjustable - Tablespoon

Bought this to replace a similar but plastic Pampered Chef spoon whose seal had failed after years of use. This spoon is well made with a satin finish metal scoop and clip on plastic slider with integrated sealing part. Note: instructions state the slider has to be pressed down with your thumb to form a seal when measuring liquids. It’s a little stiff to operate at the moment but I’m sure this will soon ease off with use. The slider unclips easily from the scoop for cleaning and both parts are top rack dishwasher safe. I would have liked a dual spoon/ml scale like the Pampered Chef but I’m still very pleased with my purchase.

Brilliant! I'm partially sighted and struggle with reading the measures on other measuring spoons. This is easily readable, and is one item rather than half a dozen jingling in the cutlery drawer. Haven't yet used it but I have every confidence it would be just what I wanted.

I really liked this one spoon does it all we keep losing our spoons so it so good just to have one its a bit stiff but im sure it will loosen up

Replaced a plastic spoon by Pampered Chef who no longer trade in the UK. Is excellent and better quality than the original.

really handy kitchen gadget - way better than a keyring of individual spoons and its dishwasher proof.

Nice solid bit of kit. My only gripe is that it isn’t easy to adjust.

Hard to move the bar to get the right measurement. The content spills because of this.

Had this now for over a year. Goes in the dishwasher and was invaluable for all the Christmas baking. Would absolutely recommend and buy another in a minute if something happens to the one I own. Always losing the measuring spoons and can never find the right size in our massive kitchen utensil drawer. Love this thing!

Super funcional

Love this spoon. Used and abused my last one for 8 yrs and lost the slider part so bought another one to replace.

I like the concept and the quality of the satin finish with smooth, rounded edges is very nice. Movement of the divider is fairly stiff probably of its tight fit, which is good at keeping fine powders and liquid in the measuring area. A quick test with water for about 15 seconds indicated the divider seals off the measuring area well enough. It's somewhat difficult to adjust to a smaller measuring area because of the divider's snug fit. Pushing forward with the thumb on the thumb rest encounters quite a lot of resistance. Pulling the divider back to enlarge the measuring area is easier. Overall it works and I guess it's better than it being too loose (time will tell if it loosens and the divider becomes less effective at preventing liquid seepage). The biggest hassle is cleanup, especially with anything sticky or fine powder (such as cocoa) that coats everything. Unlike a regular spoon it's not a matter of a quick rinse and/or wipe, but requires disassembly to get at anything stuck under the divider and dry that area properly. I would have also preferred the measurement text to be engraved rather than painted on as it's possible that will eventually wear off with a lot of use (not that I think I'll use it all that much). Like many things it's a tradeoff of convenience in one area against another. Ultimately I prefer to have this one device for multiple measurements than a bunch of individual spoons.
