Bulletproof notetaking gear
The best thing about this design is that it is a normal mechanical pencil, but with all the upgrades you would hope for. It is ergonomic, allowing for fast writing. It also uses thick 1.3mm lead so it won't break on you, has a generous eraser for mistakes we will inevitably make, and a durable construction to withstand being used by bozos or us grunts. The great thing about using pencils in the field is that lead typically won't smear or wash out like ink will. It also won't become stubborn after a while and wear out like pens will with their ink coagulating at the tip or exploding. This is a terrific investment and it will last a long time before you need to buy more lead.

Excellent shop pencil
Purchased this mechanical pencil because 0.5mm and 0.7mm leads of other pencils I own can't take the abuse of marking laminate and other materials hard enough to make the cutting line easy to view. So far I am quite pleased with its functionality and fit for the purpose. I am not breaking leads, and the lead advance/retract feature works as it should. The triangular barrel shape keeps it on the workbench when other pencils blow off in the wind from miter saws. Quite satisfied and am contemplating getting a second to have around for desk use.

Great trade pencil for use in the elements!
Fantastic pencil for use outdoors or in a lab environment. I use this pencil often to mark items in a hot and humid environment, where it continues to impress me. I also use it at home for my wood projects and it just keeps impressing me at how versatile it is. I highly recommend for people wanting a durable pencil that can withstand abuse outside of an office or classroom environment.

Overall great mechanical pencil
Very good pencil works great sturdy and lasts forever I wish the eraser didn’t fall out so easily but nothing a little glue couldn’t fix

Works in water
Works great in water situations such as hiking. Works as described. Wish it came with an eraser refill as well as lead. Very strong and sturdy pencil and lead!

I have big dumb hands. This thing is great.
So I have big fat hands that have both had carpal tunnel surgery a year ago. My dexterity is fine but skinny little pencils don't do it for me. I use three mechanical pencils:1. An Uni Kuru Toga, for fine work. The best part of this pencil is that it's metal and somewhat heavy with a great eraser.2. A Pica-Dry Longlife, which I use for carpentry, the little holster is sweet.3. This Rite-in-the-Rain 1.3, which I use for everything else.I really really like this pencil, it's generally comfortable , lays down a nice line on about anything (I use it for marking eggs for incubation a lot), and has a nice clip that rides well in a pocket. Replacement leads and erasers are cheap. My dislikes, which I think are unique to me:I wish it had a bigger barrel and was heavier. It doesn't feel flimsy exactly but it's not super ergonomic for big hands. The erasers do a great job erasing but they aren't tight enough in the cup that holds them, I've repeatedly had the pencil in my pocket with the clip and had the eraser come out of the cup. I don't like putting sharp things in chest pockets because I work a lot in the mud, but when I have to I use the Pica-Dry because of the holster. All in all this is a great pickup. It lets me help my kids with homework and write whatever needs written.

Great addition
Great little pencil. Comes with refills and it completes the set if you already have the pen. Functions like it should and it writes legibly. Comfortable in your fingers.
