Deeply Engraved Solid Brass 27mm Circular Dog tag

I must admit that I don't often get into the whole review business on Amazon but I think it's important to highlight and credit companies that produce goods which stand out from the crowd. The tag we bought was exactly what we'd thought it would be, to be honest it was better than we'd hoped it would be, which is always a good sign. We've had dogs for over 30 years and we were surprised at the number of lines and characters one could get onto the tag. Enough to put our address, phone numbers, email, which vets surgery she was under and the fact she was chipped - all in very deeply engraved, small but perfectly legible text. So many of the laser etched tags on sale give you 3 or 4 lines and the problem with the laser ones, which we've noticed several times, is they fade and wear away really quite quickly. The depth of the engraving on this tag should prevent that from happening. As our dog lost her last tag on a walk last week, meaning we had to order on a Saturday, we were pleased that the new tag arrived on Thursday. Fast turnaround, totally accurate engraving and quick delivery - can't really ask for much more. We will definitely use the seller again. The only issue I feel I should address is price - yes, nearly £9 plus postage is a bit pricey (though we realised on delivery that it's sent via Royal Mail Tracked, which explains the cost), especially for people who are perhaps struggling at the moment, but the way I see it is that many of the cheaper key cutting places or laser etched Amazon sellers will sell you tags that look fine at first but are often pretty unreadable after even a couple of years. This time I searched for 'deep engraving' and the finished tag is very well engraved on both sides, it certainly isn't going to wear away after a couple of years of use. So yes, they're maybe twice as expensive compared to some of the cheapest places but you get what you pay for - you can fit way more important information on these tags and I'm pretty confident that this tag will be going strong for many years.

The perfect dog tag, my Alaskan Malamute is six years old now, and since his birth, has had four different tags due to excessive wear and tear, but mainly because the tag writing isn’t deep enough. I scoured around all the internet and in my town, and majority were too small for my 50kg dog, or not strong, or the writing rubbish. I come across these dog tags and virtually read nearly all the reviews, mainly the lower star ones, which wasn’t many. So a good and decent start there. I thought that’s it, I’ll buy one of these and try it. On the actual tag before ordering, please ensure you fill in the custom part and write what you would like on your tag. Also remember there are two side at no extra cost to you. So to give an indication of space, this is what I wrote on ours… Side one Dogs name Dogs postcode + number Dog microchip number My mobile number Side two. Dogs vets name Dogs vet telephone number My husbands name My husbands mobile number So plenty of room, the microchip number does fit and each line tells you how many letters allowed. Arrived before the time stated. If I have to mention one little niggle, the disc is very well made, writing is deep, and clear. The maker of the tag does all this hard work, but sends it out with a smaller ring, which wouldn’t go through my dog collar. Luckily I used the one I had before. So from my perspective was fine. So please if you have a big dog, you may need a bigger ring. All in all very happy, and knocks all the rest out the park. Highly recommended ⭐️Thank you to he seller ⭐️I hope my review helps you

I’ve ordered with this company before and have done so again. I no longer buy cheap identification tags from shoe menders that wear away in no time. These are brilliant quality and last and last. They are beautifully engraved and l found the black font stays black even after many years.

Top quality tag

I have used this seller before for my dog tags. The quality of the engraving is excellent and durable. (With previous providers I've used, the engraving hasn't been deep enough and the detail has vanished over time). The tag is solid and sturdy. Even though the tag is smaller than some, you can actually get quite a few word lines on the disc, which is more than ample for the crucial information that needs to be visible. My dog likes to roll around in the mud and on the grass, so if your dog likes to do this, I would recommend a stronger link to put your disc onto rather than the one provided. However, at least they do include one. Afterall, you are paying for the disc and the engraving - this itself is excellent quality and value for money. I bought two this time and they were shipped and delivered within 3 days. I would definitely recommend this seller for this product.

As soon as this adult disc arrived I realised how flimsy her smaller puppy disc was. On her puppy disc my phone number was wearing off and becoming illegible, which is why I was looking for a replacement. Other reviews commented on long lasting engraving vs laser cut. I remembered her puppy disc was lasered, so decided to go for this engraved one in a bigger size now pup is 7 months. The split ring that comes with it is also much stronger than the previous one (though the flimsy ring was enough for the puppy lightweight and smaller disc and stayed attached). This disc feels like a lifetime kind of disc, unless I move home and need to change address or phone numbers. I'm very happy with it. I was able to get my name and full address on one side, and two phone numbers plus 'microchipped' and '2nd contact' on the back. My collar has a brass lead ring and buckle, so this brass disc is a good match. Would definitely recommend this disc, it's worth the extra money for a good quality 27mm disc.
