This is a really great lamp - you can turn it on quite dim for evenings so that it gives you a sunset/fireplace vibe without flooding you with brightness that might cause you to wake up. I don't know if it will last well as I just bought it recently but it came very quickly and in great condition. Its easy to screw together although this means that if you wanted to keep carrying it around you might need to reattach and firm things up - I plan to keep it in the one place so for me that doesn't really matter. It has a stable base which is a step above the last sunlamp I had which was incredibly flimsy on its stand and fell over constantly. You can adjust the neck to chose the angle and I love the switch on the cord which means you can adjust the brightness/timer without having to touch the light source itself (which used to be the case for the last 2 sunlamps I used) this means you are never staring directly at the light on its highest setting which you are meant to avoid doing. There is also no weird crackling noise which my last sun lamp used to have - all in all very good quality and at a very reasonable price. Glad I bought this.Edit - I actually bought 2 in different colours so it is making me combine reviews - I will add a note that the green light really does make me feel calmer (I wasn't sure how real this was but for me it has been very effective) I don't get migraines so can't test that but I would definitely try it if I did - great for relaxing after work but not so good for WFH as it makes me sleepy!

Great lamp gives out a natural bright light

I use this sad lamp on a daily basis it has 3 brightness settings build quality is very good size is ideal very easy to use I would say it has been extremely useful for me as I also WFH

Useful and bright

I bought this as I do suffer from SAD but I also wanted a natural bright light to put on makeup. It's doing both very well. It's easy to setup and you can adjust the height which is really nice as you can get it to shine exactly where you want it to .I have had other expensive SAD lamps before, and one broke because it was flimsy (and was over 150 pounds). This one feels more robust, especially the base. If you're looking for a SAD lamp, this one is excellent at the price, and if you're looking for a light to put on makeup with this does a fantastic job.It's 99.99% perfect. The only complaint is that the plug has a blue light on it that glows rather brightly, so at night when I'm sleeping it was lighting up a whole corner of my room. I put some black electrical tape over it and it's sorted but I don't see the need for that light to be there.

I’ve spent most of the winter deciding which sad light to invest in, I was going to invest I one from a higher point but I spent weeks looking through the reviews and agonising over pro con lists. After reading the reviews and taking the price into account for this lamp I decided I would buy it, mainly to see if it lifted my mood at all with the idea of buying a second lamp (probably next winter now).I’m halfway through my third week of using the lamp now, I’ve used it for at least 30 minutes every day and I never intend to do another winter without using a SAD light. I’ve found it significantly easier to get up in the mornings, feeling less lethargic as a result of this I’m finding life to be less of a weight on my shoulders.I wasn’t expecting a change this significant.On to the other aspects of the lamp, the base is a little lightweight, I have chosen to keep it in my bedroom as I fear my cats will knock it over, this isn’t a problem as I use it to read next to in the mornings.The lights on the switch stay on all the time which I find a little irritating, they’re not particularly bright but I would prefer them to not glow when the lamp is off.The goose neck allows for you to adjust as you like, I actually haven’t changed mine since I set it up but it’s good to know I can.Although I’ve found a couple of negative points I cannot give less than 5 stars as I’m delighted with this product!

Would have been perfect but the daylight setting doesn't work & this is what I bought it for.Everything else works inc. the nightlight which is great but like almost everything else these days it's made to the minimum possible standard to maximize profit so it's probably going to end up in a bin somewhere.Back to old incandescent bulbs & fluorescent it is then.

After very little use, certainly less than 20 hours, the lamp flashes and goes out. Occasionally it will stay on but the brightness is not adjustable, timer does not work and will not turn off. No facility to return faulty item. Disappointing.
